What's more, there was a huge gap between refugees and civil society, making it even more difficult to work together. It was then that the idea of REstart -- the world's first local crowdfunding platform specifically for refugees -- was born. Since then we have grown to a team of more than 28 volunteers, including a board of advisors, web team, development, marketing & communications, and a growing network  across Denmark and Europe, and the Middle East. While hundreds of crowdfunding platforms already exist, we take pride in being local and providing our clients with the support throughout the start up journey. Our profits aren't just profits, they find our operations, including the on-going support of our clients.
