I Danmark har vi et par kedelige statistiker, 1 ud af 6 akademikere har ikke et job et år efter endt uddannelse, og af dem der har et job, er 1 ud af 5 i et job de er overkvalificeret til. Samtidig har der aldrig været en større jagt efter nye talenter. Men jagten kommer med en pris, oftere rammer virksomhederne simpelthen forkert. Randstad har regnet ud af det i snit koster 500.000 kr at skifte en akademiker ud på en dansk arbejdsplads. Det er rasende dyrt at hyre den forkert medarbejder. Vi er Excelerate og vi har en løsning der kan sænke arbejdsløsheden blandt nyuddannede akademikere, samt spare virksomheder for både tid og penge når de skal hyre nyuddannede akademikere. Løsningen er en platform der matcher universitetsstuderende på deres sidste år af uddannelsen med virksomheder med henblik på speciale samarbejde. De studerende vil bruge platformen fordi vi gratis øger deres eksponering for potentielle speciale samarbejdsvirksomheder. Virksomhederne vil bruge platformen som et lead genererings værktøj til nemt og billigt at tage nye graduates ind. I4 Blades works towards a more sustainable future by using AI to identify optimization potential in the production of wind turbines. Our initial focus has been blade manufacturing, but we are now expanding to cover the entire turbine manufacturing through mining of production data and new data streams. We have strategic partnerships with big players in the wind industry with whom we are working closely together.

Queue is a music app that changes the way in which we listen to music together. In the 21st century, most people have a mobile phone and easy access to music on demand. People therefore develop their own individual taste in music and the music we listen to has become an important part of our identity. The fact that music preferences may be very different even within a homogeneous group of people has changed the music experience at parties. Satisfying music expectations has become a huge challenge and often the party host will have spent many hours worrying and trying to create the perfect playlist for the party. Still, many of the guests will constantly be dissatisfied with the music playing. They want their own favourite song to play and will try to find a way of changing the music. Since current music streaming apps like Spotify are designed for singular use, they are not suitable for multiple people adding songs to the playlist at the same time. Such use can therefore cause the whole queue to mess up and suddenly, songs will be repeated, or completely random music will play. The party host will then have to spend time fixing the problem while the guests are complaining, and the party atmosphere is destroyed. The solution is Queue – a music app that changes the way in which we listen to music together. The mission of Queue is to create a new way of playing music during parties and other get-togethers which eliminates all the stress and frustrations described above. When using Queue the question is no longer “Who controls the music, and how can I change it?” but instead “Which music do I wish to share with these people?” Queue enables this shift in focus by creating a live collaborative playlist in form of an app that is optimized for multi-person use instead of singular use like the current music applications on the market.

Let's plant 100 million trees on coffee farms!! LeafUp is a global movement, started in Oslo, to protect the environment and help coffee farmers earn a fair wage. As teenagers working on coffee farms across Peru, we saw firsthand how unfair it can be. The same coffee we were harvesting and selling in town for 20 NOK a kilo was being sold to people just like our families in California for more than 200 NOK a kilo. For us, this isn't only about coffee. It's about connecting some of the least privileged people in the developed world with some of the most privileged people in the developed world through this crazy drink we all rely on. With LeafUp, we hope to bring coffee lovers into closer contact with the farmers who produce it and allow them to protect the environment at the same time.

By June 2020 there were over 20,000 mental health apps on the app store. As that number grows, the ability to get people access to the tools best suiting them gets harder and harder. We were created to combat the noise and make sure that everyone, everywhere has instant access to relevant and trustworthy mental health support. We have an app for users to track their issues and be matched to validated tools. We also work with companies providing anonymized insights on how their employees are feeling and help them take supportive action. We are out in beta with the full product launching mid-2021. Boappa is a communication platform for housing cooperatives and home-owners associations that encourage neighbours to collaboration, the sharing economy and a positive community.

Unicontrol develops a simple machine control system for excavators. The system can be used for documentation of the work performed including the execution of simple workflows like e.g. creating a parking lot, dig a drain and small roads. It provides the possibility to work with designs provided by a surveyor. Thereby, the machine operator or the contractor can save the expenses for a man on the ground and the surveyor, work up to 30% more effective and use fewer resources.

At Knowledge Gate we help companies find answers to their most business critical questions by connecting them to industry experts for micro-consultations (usually 1-hour phone calls). Creator Makerspace is an open prototyping space. We offer offices, meeting rooms, as well as all kinds of equipments and workshops: wood, metal, electronic, laser cutter, scanners, 3D printers, and a variety of other tools.
