Scrive

Scrive is a premium service for digital legal agreements, from e-signatures to retail point-of-sale. When you buy a phone and sign the contract on an iPad, that's us. We serve enterprise customers across Europe and include industries such as telecom, banking, insurance, automotive and more. Scrive is based in Stockholm, Sweden. What truly defines us is our expertise. We recruit the best people, and not everyone can work in that sort of high-intensity environment. As an example, our entire backend is built in Haskell, which is sort of a hardcore choice, but that attracts some hardcore talent. The best people don’t live in the same place, so our team includes a lot of remote people, based all over Europe. We have grown to the point where we have proper departments and responsibilities: we now have product, marketing, engineering, support, IT, operations, and sales teams. With that being said, everybody still has two jobs, and the boundaries are still blurry (after all, we are still a start-up). Many of us are based in different countries in Europe, and some of us work together at our office in Stockholm. Since we are a remote-friendly team, we speak daily on slack, weekly via hangouts with the whole company, and we arrange two conferences a year where everyone gets the opportunity to get to know each other in the physical world. We work hard, but we know the value of balance, so we also spend a lot of time trying to refine our processes and improve how we work. Our sales processes are long; we need to be persistent and have a long-term perspective on our service, while innovating aggressively.

Optolexia

Optolexia offers a new method for early and reliable detection of dyslexia. We use eye tracking and machine learning to identify patterns that are unique in kids with characteristics of dyslexia. We started in Sweden, in schools and municipalities, and we are right now introducing our method in new, international markets such as France and Dubai. We are a team consisting of researchers, developers, teachers, and marketers. We are all experts in our specific fields and complement each other well. Everyone does what they do best, and therefore we base our work on trust. Our vision is clear: every child with reading and writing difficulties should get support from early on, and consequently have full access to the written word. We base our offering on science so evidence and research are important to us. We maintain a very informal tone at the office, and we offer flexible work hours and location. We need to approach our customers differently depending on the industry, but we aim to speak their language and understand their challenges. Our expertise and shared vision of making education accessible to everyone, with or without difficulties, are what define us.

46elks

We have an API for phone calls, messages, and MMS which allows any developer without any experience to use features in the mobile networks. The vision is fairly simple: technology should be accessible for every developer and every business no matter the size, and not be restricted to big companies. We are focusing on developers and geographically on Scandinavia but long term, we see our service on a global basis. We are a dedicated team and our culture is built on trust. Everybody can work where and how they want. We try to share the common burden of customer support, but other than that we have clear responsibilities and we trust everyone to do what they do best. At 46elks, we don’t have regular meetings as we often work from different places, which means we offer a lot of freedom. Customers are our first priority: we always try to answer quickly on emails and we are always available for a phone call. Our features are based on their feedback and we listen carefully to them to know what to do next. We have two core values at 46elks: stability and honesty. The service should always work, and we tell our customers if we have a technical problem. Simple as that. And just to mention a little bonus: every team member gets their own Raspberry Pi on their first day!

Team ZWATT (by SENSITIVUS gauge)

Get more out of your training on a bike with a bike power meter. This technology measures the watts put into the pedals, which is the important metric for efficient training. Team ZWATT sells aftermarket crank-based bike power meters directly to consumers (B2C) at great pricing with more features and top performance. Developed in Denmark. Manufactured in Germany/Latvia/China. SENSITIVUS sells the technology (B2B) to allow easy integration by crankset manufacturers. And owns the Team ZWATT brand. Our background Back in 2013, we started building bike power meters based on patented optical sensor technology from Danish Technical University. This sensor technology turned out to be not quite mature, so we devoted ourselves to the known and very well-proven strain-gauge technology. We are passionate about two things: technology and cycling. Bike power meter products are a great combination of the two – incredibly hard to fully master all the details of the technology involved, yet so simple. Our first product was the core technology – electronics and software and we sell that to brands who want to integrate power meters into their product lines. In 2016 we decided to take the technology to the next level by building power meters for the end user as well. Through a quite successful crowdfunding campaign, two power meter products were developed. Inspiration The cycling industry has taught us a bunch of things about power meters and we instantly knew what we wanted to change: Testing by pro riders may be extreme in power and intensity, but it’s not as diverse as the riders actually buying the products. The difference between power meter algorithms surfaces when they are put in real-life situations. Results generated by the pro riders testing our technology for the brands is not nearly good enough for us. Team ZWATT We think differently. So, we decided to take a new approach and base our product development on crowdsourced data from our users and introduced the world’s first subscription-based power meters. Why? Because we want better algorithms, better prices, better products that work better for your style of riding. We started our Kickstarter campaign to make an open and super diverse test team for power meter testing. But we don’t stop there. We still want testers of all types, riding all types of bikes, on all types of terrain to join the growing test team for power meter technology.
