TikkTalk

TikkTalk is an open digital solution for administration of interpretation services. With TikkTalk, you can have video- and phone meeting on any unit you want. Anyone with interpretation skills can register, validate their skills by uploading relevant documentation and access relevant interpretation assignments worldwide. Governmental organizations and enterprises can gain direct access to a global pool of interpreters sorted by language, level of qualification, and feedback. Our mission is to bridge the gap between cultures and languages. We want to make the world smaller by breaking the barriers that separate people. We feel like there is still too much hate in the world. Generally, we want to help people through communication. We want to help the refugee to get integrated into the country and to feel comfortable. Last year the government spent 500 million NOK on interpretation services. This year, the budget has doubled because of the refugee crisis. Half of the money is earmarked for travel. If you can convert 10-20% of that money to video, then we could save a lot of money both for the government and the taxpayers. Then we could spend it on education and health systems.

Fishbrain

Fishbrain is a global social network and mobile app for Sport Fishing. And it’s true - Fishbrain can help you catch more and bigger fish. Through a combination of our Catch Map and Fishing Forecast, you can bring your fishing up another notch. Or two, even. But here’s what keeps people coming back to Fishbrain: It’s an angling community. And that gets at our mission. With 200 million people sport fishing around the world, we’re connecting anglers to make fishing dreams come true, today and tomorrow. Some of us are anglers. Some of us are parents. All of us are human. And we're also passionate about the outdoors and conservation. Together, we work to bring you the best app for fishing, hands down. There's a lot of thought and effort and fun that goes into that. Some of us work from Stockholm, Sweden. Some of us work from boats, casting lines and going to fishing tournaments. The office people and the boat people make sure to talk a lot. That's how we keep it real. We believe that it's more fun to brag about a catch with people who care about fishing. These people are often called anglers. You may think that's obvious, being an angler yourself. But on Fishbrain, your catch doesn't go head-to-head with cats doing backflips, or toddlers feeding chocolate cake to their baby sisters. For us, respecting the environment is about balance. We believe in catch & release and the sustainable harvest of fish species. Because when it comes to the outdoors, tomorrow matters too. Don't get us wrong - we're all for hard work, pre-dawn wakeups to get to a fishing spot, and getting our hands dirty. But if there's a smarter way to fish, we're on it. It means we do the hard work of crunching catch numbers so you don't have to. It means all you have to do is fish.  Our office is in Stockholm, Sweden. The office has windows, multiple coffee machines, and a team of amazing people working inside it. It's also cubicle-free. If you're one of the lucky Chosen Ones who gets to fish for us, your office might be an inshore boat in Tampa Bay, Florida. Or a kayak somewhere in South Carolina. Just sayin'. We're looking for talent to join our small team.

Optolexia

Optolexia offers a new method for early and reliable detection of dyslexia. We use eye tracking and machine learning to identify patterns that are unique in kids with characteristics of dyslexia. We started in Sweden, in schools and municipalities, and we are right now introducing our method in new, international markets such as France and Dubai. We are a team consisting of researchers, developers, teachers, and marketers. We are all experts in our specific fields and complement each other well. Everyone does what they do best, and therefore we base our work on trust. Our vision is clear: every child with reading and writing difficulties should get support from early on, and consequently have full access to the written word. We base our offering on science so evidence and research are important to us. We maintain a very informal tone at the office, and we offer flexible work hours and location. We need to approach our customers differently depending on the industry, but we aim to speak their language and understand their challenges. Our expertise and shared vision of making education accessible to everyone, with or without difficulties, are what define us.

Retail Accelerator

Goalplan® is a product that aims to support the retail industry to exceed their KPI’s by ensuring their sales staff reach their full potential. Currently, we target the retail industry in Sweden. Long-term, we will expand to the Nordic countries, and then introduce Goalplan® to the global market. We are a very flexible and dynamic team, and we value getting things done, openness and trust. We share the same mission: to help retailers make the best of their sales staff. Our customers are always in focus, and we listen very carefully to their feedback and desires - whatever it takes to make our customers succeed. We have clear responsibilities, but in a start-up, you have one competitive advantage: that information travels easy within the organization. It allows everyone to be involved in the process, even though everyone is very self-reliant. We spend a lot of time outside the office too to make sure we have fun and stay motivated.

Fresh.Land

Fresh.Land is a startup with a new model for the food industry. We developed a pioneering platform that shortens and digitizes the food supply chain. It allows farmers to sell fresh products directly to consumers, using the trees as their “warehouse” and cutting 3-5 middlemen. Our platform provides all the logistics, payment, legal, and knowledge required in one integrated solution. Fresh.Land was coined “truly pioneering” (WWF) and “one of the most promising green startups in Denmark” (Forbes). Our disruptive idea won the European Youth Award (Austria), EcoSummit Gold Winner (Germany), Nordic Cleantech Open (Sweden), WWF Climate Solver Award (Denmark), Portugal Digital Awards (Portugal), and Green Tech Challenge (Denmark). We have offices in Copenhagen and Portugal. The company is profitable and growing at a very fast pace. We are preparing to launch commercially in 8 EU countries. The management team includes former senior McKinsey consultants and senior executives from the food industry, with a proven track-record in building and exiting successful companies in the past. According to WWF, “Fresh.Land can save 88% of CO₂ from storage and reduce food waste by 10%, saving 12.7 million tons of CO₂ annually by 2026”. The demand for true digital representation of our physical world is increasing. We offer 3D reconstruction of urban environments, whether for architecture, games or urban planning. We have developed a SaaS platform where images goes in, and 3D models comes out - with a specialization in urban environments such as buildings and blocks. Our customers are both in real estate and among drone operators. We believe 3D mapping alone will be a big business. We are true techies. We love tech. We get excited by algebra. The Spotscale team consists of engineers and developers with degrees in mathematics and computer science. Most of us work in Linköping where we meet once a week to share what we’re working on. A startup is a lot about balancing structure and chaos, and we need to adapt quickly. Within the team, we are respectful to each other, and we stay open-minded. Since we are a pretty small team, everyone is involved in everything, and every opinion is valued. All of us are very self-reliant and use each others strengths. We don’t care about titles at Spotscale, but about the skills and knowledge you have. If you don’t enjoy your days, you won’t excel at work, which is why we believe in a good work-life balance. Spending time with friends and family is crucial in between hard work to stay motivated and feel good. It’s not about how many hours you work, but what you do during those hours.

Northfork

Northfork is changing the way we shop food. Shopping online removes the need to go to the store, but shopping by recipe eliminates the three energy thieves; Figuring out what to eat, Searching for the products, and Improvising in the kitchen. At the core of Northfork is a world leading technology platform that understands the complex relationship between user generated ingredients, products at any retailer and your personal preferences so you can eat healthy and varied in less than 10 clicks.  We focus 100% on our customers. Our customers range from large retailers to end users, and everything we do is based on their needs and desires. Other than focusing on our customers, we like to get things done and be proactive as well as independent. We also like working out together and going out for a beer from time to time (although, a little bit difficult as our team members are located in different parts of the world). At Northfork, every team member is involved in decision making. We do workshops where we decide tactics and strategy together. Since only some of us are based in Stockholm, we optimize for remote-first work and spend time together using tools like Slack, Google Meet and Miro. All of us are very results-driven, and we all share the same vision: to change the way consumers shop food.
