The purpose of DAFI is to facilitate an extensive network to develop, promote, market and push Danish fashion forward to strengthen Denmark's position on the global fashion map and establish Denmark as a leader in regard to sustainability on the global fashion scene.

ClearView Trade

At ClearView Trade, we want to digitalise Danish exports. We want to minimise the time and resources that Danish companies spend on booking transportation as well as completing and obtaining all the relevant documents and certificates regarding export. In cooperation with the Danish Chamber of Commerce, the Confederation of Danish Industry, the Danish Agriculture & Food Council, SME Denmark and the Danish Tax Authority, we already offer fully digitalised customs declaration forms as well as the issuance of Certificates of Origin.

Butter

Butter is re-engineering salary for shift workers by making salary real-time. We have a belief that creating a direct link between work and pay through real-time salary will fundamentally shift the way we think about work and our motivation for working. We also believe thinking about money is hard, and that there are a lot of things we can do with behavioural design to make it easier. Thus we work in an extremely customer-centric way to create products that are helpful, fun to use but also change the way we think about work and pay. Employers get a more motivated workforce, who are more likely to take shifts and can save their finance / HR teams a lot of time by ensuring their employees always understand which shifts they are getting paid for at which times. We are a venture-backed company, backed by Founders who have built fantastic companies such as Pleo and Kontist.

TaskShare

During the last few years we had been noticing that there is an increasing amount of youngsters on Facebook, who offer themselves for helping with small tasks such as lawn mowing and pet sitting. They are willing to show their credibility and work ethic to people and find their place at the society. Unfortunately, often the Facebook walls they post their offers are so filled with extra noise, that not many potential adults ever see them. At the same time, while working on different great companies, we have found out that mid-/senior level employees do not only have more than enough of work to do at the office, but also very often have a family and a house to be taken care of. They work from 9-5 at the office and after that they head straight to the home and start the, we like to call it "workday no. 2". They indeed are the heroes of work, but we started wondering, is there anyway we could help them to get more out of their spare times, so that they really can enjoy their lives. Not to mention, that we could clearly see ourselves on their shoes in a few decades. With these two problems in mind the idea started slowly to take shape into the form of a web platform, where these two huge groups of our population could solve each others problems with the help of our matchmaking efforts. Adults with two workdays can buy the most important asset there is for their lives, they can buy valuable time with their loved ones. At the same time they can act responsibly by sharing their mundane tasks from gardening to window cleaning for local youngsters, who can finally show that they can be trusted and that they are diligent, which could be huge to their future careers and also they get paid for that. After the COVID-19 pandemic started taking over the world, we eventually came into the conclusion that this is our time to help people to get jobs and the economy to grow in a new way. We started quickly constructing the platform and now we have finally launched the first public MVP. We believe the working life is going towards a disruption, where peer-to-peer hiring will be a thing that enables people to solve each others problems. And that is what TaskShare is designed for.

As an impact-driven startup born from the passion to introduce a complete sustainable solution to the gruesome plastic waste crisis from toothbrushes, the urge is to make better use of the natural resources we have by integrating them as a part of our green habits. Playvation Ltd

Playvation is a Finnish EdTech company that designs high-quality language learning solutions for early education organizations. Our flagship product Moomin Language School is an immersive digital language learning service for learning organizations with children between the ages of 3 and 10. The service is based on Finnish education principles, various learning theories and research into early language learning, language immersion and child development. Language skills are essential in the modern global world, yet millions of children lack access to high-quality teaching and learning content. We are about to change this. Thanks to our learning application and ready-made lesson plans, any learning organization can start teaching English to the children in their care. Moomin Language School combines the use of a learning application with teacher-led playful lessons to bring children the best of both worlds. With Moomin Language School, any learning organization can start to teach a foreign language to the children in their care. Children use the learning application individually to learn vocabulary, grammar and pronunciation either at the learning organization or at home. The learning application is used every day and the daily practice takes only 5-15 minutes. Our learning application’s time limit makes sure that children get only a healthy amount of screen time each day. Moomin Language School also includes lesson plans for 30-45-minute interactive and playful group sessions once a week for small groups. The lessons reinforce the language learned with the learning application and build up communicative skills, collaboration skills and social skills. The lessons are filled with social interaction, physical activities, songs, stories, and arts and crafts to help children use the new language in various contexts. Moomin Language School uses the flipped classroom model. This means that children first use the learning application to learn about the weekly topic and relevant vocabulary and grammar. After this they have the related playful lesson where they deepen their knowledge and use the language in a real-world setting. This model leaves the teacher more time to focus on communication and connecting with the children, making learning more effective and engaging. It also increases children’s courage to use the language by giving them a chance to practice first on their own using the learning application.

ReDI School of Digital Integration is a tech-school with focus on digital empowerment of women with refugee- and immigrant background. We will offer free courses in IT and soft skills, and create a vibrant tech-community, that will give the women new professional and social opportunities. We strongly believe that successful integration and employment depends 50% on what you know and 50% about who you know, and therefore we will put the women in contact with people from the IT sector.
