OwnersRoom

Due to illiquid shares and lack of information transparency, private companies often lose the battle for capital. Instead, we envision a future where investing in private companies is as common as investing in public companies. OwnersRoom will unlock capital in the private market, making funds more accessible for businesses, and private companies more attractive for investors. OwnersRoom is a fintech startup based in Oslo. The company was founded in 2017 by the serial entrepreneurs behind the successful Norwegian IT companies Admincontrol, Questback and Trolltech. Our mission is to unlock the capital market for private companies, helping facilitate the value creation of the future by making capital more accessible through increased information transparency and share liquidity. OwnersRoom is currently a team of seven, and we are looking to add new exceptional talent. We are not a large organization with a 200 page employee handbook and 7 levels of reporting, but a fast, lean, and ambitious startup built by people who love what they do.

WeSub is a Copenhagen based startup that aims to facilitate the future of subscriptions and subscription management.We are working towards an online platform that provides the user with a complete list of the possible subscriptions within every industry. Glimty - Something Norwegian

We have decided to change the direction of being a gifting marketplace to a marketplace focusing on Norwegian quality products. We want to gather smaller Norwegian brands and businesses together to strengthen their position against the larger corporations. We need to make it easier to find and buy good Norwegian local products as well as trying to change consumers buying behavior step by step. From the mall to Glimty to support the smaller ones. If we want to keep the uniqueness and variety of our market within our borders, we need to act now.Glimty - Something Norwegian.  We started Glimty because we saw that during the last couple of years having an online store has become more of a nuisance than an advantage to many businesses. Each of these new stores simply makes the ecommerce space even more crowded for local, well-crafted and original products. Furthermore, online stores are becoming difficult to navigate and currently have very low conversion rates. Our solution takes on the challenge of improving the customer experience of existing online stores and marketplaces to the level of personalization only provided by a visit to an actual physical store. We have built the best solution in the market to guarantee that the customer receives online assistance from a semi-automated digital clerk resulting in a higher conversion rate and potential recurring customers.We have partnered with a number of independent and small Norwegian retailers and Norwegian made products/Services as we want to give these companies a voice and a chance to compete with the larger brands and companies that saturate the market due to their huge marketing budgets. We provide an increased likelihood of a customer to purchase one of our partner’s products as every interaction occurs through one-on-one conversations when the user is already in the mindset of making a purchase of a gift. We also offer their products in personalized collections. They obtain a commercialization channel totally focused on the shopping experience of the customer. The benefits of being featured in our store, blog or chatbot describing the characteristics of the products increases their marketing reach, obtaining customers that discover these products whilst in the mindset of buying gifts. Daniel and James met each other 2 years ago and have been studying many frameworks and theories of entrepreneurship and innovation throughout their master studies at University of Oslo. Being students we started with little and so we had to rely on our ability to adapt to any situation by implementing and recombining our resources in an innovative way, in particular through our connections and networks. The gifting aspect is just the first phase and a method for introducing the Chatbot Technology into the Norwegian market. This approach also came from the experience that our CEO, Susanne Wesner, obtained by founding a company in 2015 and suffering first hand the struggle of building a business relying solely on an ecommerce store as a source of revenue. Daniel built that first version of an automated customer assistance system for Susanne’s business, and with feedback and work from Susanne and James, the team continued developing the solution towards the technology that Glimty is introducing to the market.

KROM Kendama

KROM Kendama was born to fulfill the vision of producing the highest quality of kendamas in the world while keeping it funky and relatable, striving to make kendama the biggest secondary sport in the world. Since the beginning of the company, we’ve worked on spreading kendama on a global scale. The rise and growth of the kendama community has allowed KROM to spread, and the team to travel the entire world. In 2010 KROM was founded by 2014 freestyle kendama world champion Thorkild May in hopes of igniting the kendama love wherever possible. Since then we’ve worked hard to develop the kendama culture worldwide from the KROM HQ & Shop in Copenhagen. From the KROM Shop, we host a weekly kendama club and work to support similar initiatives like kendama clubs in Colorado and Latvia. We also sponsor a large number of events every year with prizes and pro players and host events ourselves, like the 2019 European Kendama Championships. As kendama was developing across the world, KROM naturally grew with it and the ideas of creating our own kendamas and becoming more involved in the community couldn’t be kept down. In the latter half of 2012 KROM Kendama went from mainly being a crew of homies playing and distributing kendamas to starting the learning process of creating the best possible kendamas out there. Leading up DAMAFEST 2013, the North American kendama championships, KROM started to pick up steam with the recognition of the clean dama designs and crazy tricks. Thorkild May and teammate Mathias Rasmussen ended up winning the American Freestyle Championships, laying down what has become a staple of the KROM image: the signature Danish flow and the recognizably funky kendamas. Since then KROM has developed and grown even further, we’re constantly striving to represent the kendama community in the best way possible, and of course to provide the best possible products to all the supporters in across the globe. With every new kendama, we’re determined to improve both the playability and the design. For these purposes and more, we’ve gathered the most winning team in the world, composed of internationally acclaimed players with several World and European championship titles, as well as a lot of homies to help us reach our goals. In practice, our offer will enable our users to buy and sell virtual shares of real football players while guaranteeing them a new investing pleasure. Therefore, we like to call them "Sports Traders". Only the supply and demand will impact a footballer share price after he has been introduced to the market and traders have started speculating on him. Dividends will be released each week to the traders according to football players real performances on the pitch. Our business model is simple; we take commissions when a trader wants to resell the shares he owns.

Too Good To Go

At Too Good To Go we are dedicated to the fight against food waste! Food waste is a huge global issue, with one-third of all food produced being wasted, a landfill is overflowing and our environment is really suffering the consequences. And it's not just about the food itself, it's all the resources that went into producing the food, the land, the water, the labour. It's a sad state of affairs and we're on a mission to inspire and empower everyone to take action! Our platform allows people to buy surplus, unsold food from restaurants, cafes, supermarkets, bakeries etc. that otherwise would have to be thrown out. Through our app, everybody can make a difference by 'saving'​ perfectly good, delicious food from going in the bin.
