IPRally is an AI startup solving the patent search with a new kind of graph-based approach. There is a huge need for better search, as the data is exploding. In 2018 there were 3.3 million new patent applications, 5.2% more than a year before. In the bigger picture we aim to change how technology is searched, and speed up the progress of everything.

Background The 2014 winter Olympics in Sochi is unfortunately known for a huge doping scandal, creating a debate on how to increase the secure chain of custody within in the anti-doping industry. Validicity AB was initiated by the Arne Ljungqvist Foundation to actively combat anti-doping in human sports, by developing a new hardware solution combined with a blockchain-based system creating a secure supply chain (https://www.arneljungqvist.com/). A team of experts was brought together with deep knowledge in their respective field in order to solve this challenge and develop the future chain of custody in anti-doping. The first market segment of the company is for doping control in human sports, followed by an equestrian sports segment. A third segment will be solutions addressing work-place testing operations. Expanding the system, Validicity can basically serve any vertical that needs a secure supply chain such as pharma, food, toxic waste and high-end goods. Since the company was founded in the beginning of February 2018, a first functional prototype has been developed, a European patent application has been filed and parts of the team attended the WADA conference initiating talks with potential customers and partners. Business Idea Validicity offers a solution for a complete secure chain of custody combining a digital solution (NFC, Block-chain & Cloud storage technology) with a mechanical device (bottle / bottle tops / packaging) creating a transparent and tamper-proof system.

The health situation is a huge problem to society and individuals, but also a major challenge to health insurances, pension funds and especially companies - which experience increasing costs for psychical and mental absence. The health insurance market has exploded in Denmark. 2,0 million Danes have a health insurance estimated value of 3+ billions DKK though the massive decline in public health has catalysed a paradigm shift from solely focusing on treatment (via the health insurance) to realising the value of a preventative effort. This is supported by a large study by Deloitte, which concludes that the cost of mental absence ('presenteeism') is up to a factor of 3 compared to the cost of physical absence. Habits are hard to break! The vast majority of market players within health tech scene and preventive care excel in pure tech/app solutions though the notification from an app often comes up short. Our software tool provides predicted properties of (bio) chemicals based on data-driven algorithms and quantum chemistry, which helps to reduce the number of experiments in R&D. Every (bio)chemical process or product needs physico-chemical properties (e.g. solubility, density) data to simulate unit operations and flowsheets of chemical manufacturing processes. Also, the formulation of products such as more sustainable solvents or more efficient materials need property calculations for designing these products. Scientists and engineers at biotech companies usually fail to develop and simulate new processes and products because: (I) the experimental data for specific molecules are not available, (II) no physical property models have been developed for the desired compounds which give satisfiable predictions, (III) measurements are too time- and material-consuming to perform. MQS has developed a software which provides novel property prediction models based on machine learning and quantum chemistry (Figure 1), in which the input from experiments can be reduced or is negligible. Therefore the number of experiments, material, labour and time are saved which translates to reducing R&D costs in a 407 billion $ industry [1,2,3]. The Ode To was founded 2018 by friends Helena Carlberg and Anna Lukins. We are both passionate collectors of aesthetically pleasing things, sharing an obsession for art and interior. We got tired of our cheap old posters but found art galleries to be intimidating and expensive. So, we ended up spending a lot of time looking for those special pieces in the most peculiar places. This life-long rummaging (as well as our careers in the fashion industry) has really taught us to spot those true treasures, which is reflected in our online gallery. Sindroms is a Copenhagen-based start-up agency that creates monochromatic experiences, mainly through its biannual printed design magazine. Curating its content based on a specific colour in each edition, Sindroms investigates it across design and culture, immersing its readers in the feelings and moods evoked by each colour.
