Simple Mobility is a Mobility as a Service (MaaS) platform and app. MaaS has been on peoples lips for quite a while. It basically describes a shift away from personally-owned modes of transportation and towards mobility solutions that are consumed as a service. In other words: solutions that let you book everything from a bike, bus, train, taxi, shared car, etc. from a one-stop-platform.In 2018 there has been the first shifts and initiatives of rolling out MaaS platforms together with public transportation in Helsinki. We believe this is the first big leap towards "real" MaaS solutions. Public transportation is the glue that makes it come together. With public transportation included in MaaS platforms there finally is a proper potential to compete and even knock-out private car ownership in cities. In Simple Mobility we believe 2019 is the year this change will come for good.
