Nordic Food Supplements AS

The Nordic Food Supplements AS (NFS) produces mealworms destined for food industry, animal feeding, plants nutrition. Our focus is oriented towards B2B market, we  provide: - Live, dried and powder mealworms to farms, pets shops, zoos and specific food markets. - Frass (insects poop) is a very rich nutrient for plants which we intend to sale to plant shops and also on a stand alone webshop However NFS AS is also a wholesaler of dried larvae to niche markets/direct consumer. My name is Frederick V. Richard, the idea of starting with insects protein farming emerged on a road trip in France questioning my future in IT companies (Yes i left bugs for bugs!). I have been conducing research on the possibility of rearing insects in Norway for a year before even approaching people about this project. Only after studying the feasibility of the project i started to gather 1 partner, which leaded to 2 other partners with scientific  and entrepreneurship/leadership background. Our team is now composed with Elena, Pål and Espen. We then started our first pilot site in an old farm (not a garage) with just 6kg of larvae to ensure we gathered enough knowledge on rearing insects under specific conditions. Today we have a cattle of ca 1/2 tonne and will keep growing til the end of the year as we plan to expand our production.

Bokio

Bokio is your independent accountant. Bokio is an entirely free service that covers accounting, billing, and payments. Bookkeeping is not adding value to any company or product, and Bokio is a solution to this issue resulting in more productive work. In the future, we see the process as completely automatized, which is our biggest challenge. Bokio currently focuses on Sweden, but long-term it will be introduced to international markets as well. Our team consists of energetic, hungry and solution-oriented individuals. We see opportunities rather than obstacles, and we do what needs to be done. We work together at the office; that’s part of our values: to work together. There is a significant social benefit of sitting together; our ideas flow more freely if we can constantly ask each other questions and exchange ideas. Plans and strategies are the foundations of decisions rather than particular people or roles. We always aim to understand the context and focus on what is important right now. We’re an active bunch of people, and we do a lot of sports activities together: orientation, running, climbing, you name it. If it’s a sunny day, we might spend some time outdoors during the day to work all night the following day.  We also arrange two parties every year when we invite the entire start-up community in Gothenburg, to exchange ideas and gain perspectives. As a part of our team, you need to love to learn new things and test your limits. You can never be completely satisfied: things can always be done differently or improved. We always need to make sure we are ready to shift priorities if things change, which makes our work very dynamic.

Bitcall

Bitcall is a mobile-first calling solution for sales teams. Improve sales results with click-to-call, automatic logging to CRM, and call analytics.    The service enables sales team to close more deals, waste less time on data entry and make more calls. It automatically collects data entry, resulting in less administrative work. The sales manager is getting information instantly which enables a more effective process, as improvements can be implemented faster. Bitcall is a B2B service and focuses on tech enterprises with sales team in-house.     Our product is digital, our team is digital, everything is digital: it’s in our DNA. Some of us work at the office in Gothenburg, and some don’t. Location doesn’t matter: we communicate on Slack even though we sit right next to each other! Trust is important to us, and we are all expected to deliver results. We don’t look at how things are done but rather the results of what we’re doing. That makes us very result and data driven, and it is important to make sure we’re working on relevant features. Our decisions are based on data, and not on personal hierarchies. We are all from different backgrounds and new perspectives are crucial. We need to stay open-minded and listen very carefully to the market. Sometimes (often) we need to change our product to make sure we’re working very closely with our clients. The market has enormous potential and is currently more or less unexplored. It’s an exciting market, and our product is very needed. We are all very interested in the problem we are solving, and that’s an important part of working with us.

Suddenly it is fun to go to an event with live polling, Q&A and all the event information at your fingertips.  In a short period of time EventEye has grown from a small startup in Norway to become one of the world players in the event technology industry, classified as the most user-friendly solution out there.  Eventeye is an innovative event app company that really focuses on crafting a great user-experience, for both participants and organizers. On one hand, Eventeye wants to make it easy for participants navigate through conferences or a professional events they attend and on the other, it ensures that the solution is effective for organizers to help them save time.

Plecto

Kristian and his team were frustrated with not being able to see the impact they were making on the business and believed a bit of competition would liven up the office. The idea behind Plecto was born.   After developing a working version of the platform overnight, Kristian presented to his boss a dashboard that would visualize call activity data in real time and rank employees based on their performance. His boss immediately bought a television and dedicated Kristian's time to managing and improving the software.   Once he saw the impact that the dashboard had on his team, Kristian decided to hit the road - quitting his job, teaming up with long-time friend Aleš Kocjančič and rebuilding the software from scratch.   Four years and three different offices later, Plecto is a growing team of eight delivering dashboards to over 65,000 sales, customer service and call center reps.

Drivr is a SaaS company, headquartered in Copenhagen, Denmark, that builds a complete cloud-based product suite for transportation providers.  The Drivr fleet management platform is the world’s leading dispatch system for taxi and private hire companies. Pipetop

At Pipetop there’s a big social scene and regular team dinners. The team is very involved in the Founders community and their array of events and startup parties.
