Daily living for people with Parkinson’s Disease is controlled by a rigid medicine schedule to counter the severe motor symptoms of Parkinson’s Disease. Every patient experiences a unique course of disease, but they only have 20 minutes every six months to describe their symptoms, to find the right treatment with their neurologist. Getting the right treatment usually takes years with 50 pct. of Parkinson’s patients being wrongly medicated. We are on a mission to ensure the best treatment for every Parkinson's patient and improve quality of life with patient friendly technology which monitors the patients course of disease at home for personalised medicine.

Pufin ID A/S

Securing Brand Trust. Pufin ID A/S is an innovative venture exploring the margin between Artificial Intelligence and Materials Science. We have developed a novel approach to uniquely identifying every object in existence using Physical Unclonable Functions, or PUFs. A PUF is a unique object fingerprint which is impossible to replicate, thus enabling an irrefutable link between physical goods and their digital records. PUF technology has enormous potential to tackle trillion-dollar problems from product counterfeiting to tracking items through the circular economy.

1. INTRODUCTION A Ready-To-Wear fashion company presented by brothers Julius Juul and Victor Juul from Copenhagen, Denmark. Exploring the lines between form and function driven by experimental approaches, HELIOT EMIL™ pushes the semantic dialogue within the creative industry. A subversive scandinavian and monochromatic aesthetic, combined with custom developed materials, fabrics and trimmings, HELIOT EMIL™ entices a high attention to detail throughout every branch. Designer Julius Juul draws on thought provoking themes and a curiosity about creative expression reflected in every collection by HELIOT EMIL™. 2. FOUNDATION Since the first collection was showcased in Milan during spring / summer 17 season, HELIOT EMIL™ has continually expropriated its exploration of the creative milieu. The aesthetic is carefully developed with custom fabrics, hardware trimmings and materials. Each hardware detail is created from the bottom up with form and function in mind. Experimentation and a high attention to detail is ensured by partnering only with the best in their category and industry. A tight-bond with all partners allows for a coherent evolution of the brand aesthetic. With painstaking attention to detail each garment is conceived from a collective ideation for each season standing in relation to the brand as a whole. 3. FUTURE The subsequent phase for HELIOT EMIL™ will see a further cementation of the brand and an expansion of the semantic dialogue with the creative milieu. The core value of the brand will be explored without compromise, through both physical spaces enticing further ideas of form and function, and experiences expressing the innovative nature of the brand. Underlying the continuous organic development is a coherent understanding of the brand developed in close proximity with all partners.

Mister Wise

Mister Wise has developed a digital customer loyalty system to help smaller restaurants and cafés retain their loyal customers. A problem many restaurants and café owners are facing today, and have been facing for a long time, is the harsh competitiveness in the market. To stand out in the market place each restaurant offer their own unique concept which they fully control on their own. This will always be the most central part of the equation. However, to keep their customers coming back to their unique concept, a good, easy and systematic loyalty system is of essence. The science is clear on the fact that that retaining already existing customers is cheaper and more profitable than acquiring new customers. That’s why most corporations around the world have their own loyalty systems in place. Why shouldn’t the local restaurant and café? By not utilizing a loyalty system, the restaurant is making themselves a disservice. The customer is lacking an element of the overall experience and the business owner is leaving extra cash on the table. This is a widespread problem which affects all parties involved. The situation is however quite understandable as developing your own digital loyalty system is very time consuming, not to mention expensive. That’s where Mister Wise comes into the picture, offering a tool normally only used by the big sharks in the market to the smaller fish. Mister Wise does not believe in the old-fashioned paper stamp where the customer collects 10 stamps and then gets a free coffee. What if you don’t like coffee and you only drink smoothies? Every customer who walks into the particular food place is a customer who may or may not come back again. To maximize the chances for that customer to come back they should have the opportunity to “collect stamps’’ on whatever they order. That’s why Mister Wise offers a point-based system instead, in which the customer orders and buys whatever he or she want on the menu and then collect points on that particular purchase. This way, all customers can utilize the offer. After X amount of points have been collected, the customer receives a voucher he or she can use at that restaurant. Not only does the customer receive a financial benefit for their loyalty but they also receive a non-financial benefit. For each voucher that is received a heartwarming message from the restaurant owner is sent to the customer, to fully maximize the potency of the loyalty system. As one of the founders had worked part time at a grocery store for quite some time, he knew the value of a good loyalty system and thought it was very strange that it’s only used by the big sharks in the market. After doing market research it was concluded that there was a desire among the local food places for a product such as the one Mister Wise is offering

Welldium is a virtual supplement dispensary for functional medicine practitioners. Our online platform is made for the practitioners so they can easily find and collect their patient recommendations of their preferred supplements, so their patients can easily order exactly what they've recommended. Welldium’s foundation is build on a dream about “elevating the human experience through health”. We try to make our contribution to a more healthy world by providing a virtual dispensary for health practitioners and their patients. One of our key objectives is to make it easy for health practitioners to find and prescribe high quality supplements, and easy for the patient to buy the recommended supplements with one click. With the right supplements and tracking, the patients can achieve their health goals.

MakeImpact

The Pitch We help generate positive societal impact by changing people’s financial behavior. The What According to the UNCTAD (UN Conference on Trade and Development) World Investment Report from 2014, the total annual investments in SDG-relevant sectors in developing countries will need to be between $3.3 trillion and $4.5 trillion in order to meet the SDGs by 2030. Such estimates mean there is an annual financing gap of $2.5 trillion between current funding and what is required. The public sector is already doing a lot but to close this large gap, will require a major investment of resources from many actors, particularly from the private sector. The capital is already there. What’s needed is for that capital to find a home in well-designed, viable projects. In order to move this capital, the private sector will need to take financial action. People have the desire to take action but need help to do so. This is where MakeImpact will play an important role – helping people who want to make a difference through impact investing. The How We believe that there are 3 ways to help change people’s financial behavior in order to create a substantial positive societal impact Through Education: The more you know about making a positive impact, the better suited you are to actually do it. Through Investing: In order to help close the SDG financing gap with the use of private capital, investing your money in sustainable companies that work for a better future is the way forward. Through Tracking of Investments: Tracking your investments and becoming aware of which investments are sustainable or not will make you want to learn more about other companies that have a sustainable agenda and thereby re-educating yourself and potentially making more impact investments. In order to achieve the greatest behavioral change, these 3 will all need to be tied together – allowing people, in the best way possible, to change their financial behavior towards a better societal impact The Why We saw a need to help the non-investors getting started on their impact investing journey using the 17 UN Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) as a framework. The team currently consists of 17 passionate, innovative and purpose-driven people that help building a solution where the non-investor can use their money to make an impact in the world.

We're an international lifestyle brand in the making and we're looking for creative talent and savvy e-com and B2B sales professionals. SolFoil Oy

Currently the most significant portable solutions for cooking and heating outdoors are grills and cookers. They are often expensive, bulky and heavy. Some create lots of waste, smoke and a risk of fire, and therefore cannot be used everywhere outdoors. Chemical heating pouches are the only alternatives that can be integrated to pre-packed packages, but they are expensive, hard to dispose and have caused cases of explosion. Many companies and organizations such as World Food Program, Unites Nations and some food manufacturers have reported that they have not found so far a real lightweight, portable and safe solution to heat or cook the food or water. As a result for example emergency meals are eaten cold and outdoor shower water in a refugee camps is often cold. There are also companies that are looking for a "field solution" to heat up their non-food material for example for healthcare such as cast and orthosis, that currently is heated with bulky electrical equipment. That is a problem, since especially in the crisis situations lightweight equipment would be preferred. SolFoil creates new patented and tested solar heating and cooking solutions to meet existing needs in the outdoor, crisis and emergency and peacekeeping and military field. We have an ongoing Tempo project and we have already received solar heating film that is needed in all our products. Soon we will receive first industrially manufactured prototypes of first product, solar heated water pouch. Water heating is a common challenge in many fields. For example dry-meal companies have a problem that their customers won't always carry heavy equipment for heating the water needed in the meals, and then eat the meals cold. Meals would taste much better when they are warm, and that is why their customers buy less dry-meals. By using ultra-compact and safe water heating pouch they can enjoy a warm meal instead of a cold one. Ideal user is someone, who cannot carry heavy equipment for heating the water that is needed in the dry meals, coffee etc, or is outdoors in the areas where using grills or cookers is not allowed due to risk of fire. The person can be for example hiker, mountaineer or someone going to the park. Water heating is a problem also in crisis and emergencies and peacekeeping and military. In the later phase we create also application for example for outdoor shower bags and water sterilization for the real needs. Now we are seeking €250K for piloting with the water heating pouch matched with Business Finland R&D&Piloting funding.
