The Why

The Why is a no-profit organisation that initiates, produces and distributes documentaries on pressing social and environmental issues. It promotes human rights, democracy, gender equality and justice by providing the world with thought-provoking and investigative documentary films. It fights for freedom of media and free access to realible information for all and collaborates with public broadcasters, NGOs and educational institutions across all continents. The Why contributes to the UN SDGs by educating for sustainability and supporting free media.

Make It Good Again

Make It Good Again aims to break with the throw-away mentality, by making it easier and cheaper to get your broken items repaired. This is done through our website https://makeitgoodagain.dk/, with 3 easy steps: 1. The customer describes what is broken and put it up for the repairmen to give their bid on how much they can repair it for. 2. The repairmen participate in a reversed auction, to give the lowest bid on the repair. 3. The customer chooses their preferred offer. It doesn't have to be the cheapest. It can also be the most convenient, with the highest ratings or whatever other parameter is most important for the customer. We are passionate about our company and work hard to reach our potential.

LABWORK

LABWORK is a SaaS company founded in 2017 with the purpose of optimizing the way dentists and dental labs communicate. Our platform connects dentist and dental labs and takes ordering dental lab work from carbon copy paper into the digital age. With an innovative and simple approach we have integrated the entire workflow from order to delivery into a single online solution and made communication with patient sensitive information safe. We have 100+ dental clinics subscribed and 30+ dental labs in Denmark alone. Currently we're looking for a co-founder with it skills to help develop the platform further and expand to other countries.

ArtPlayer

ArtPlayer is inspired by Bill Gates who already in the early 1990s displayed art on framed and wall-mounted PC screens at his mansion. ArtPlayer is part of Cumedin ApS, a culture and media company focused on the distribution of art streaming and digital signage art to airports, hotels, restaurants, libraries, hospitals etc. Our vision is to become the leading global provider of art streaming and digital signage art that can be adjusted according to purpose, style and mood for displaying in public spaces and the future digital home.

Excelerate

I Danmark har vi et par kedelige statistiker, 1 ud af 6 akademikere har ikke et job et år efter endt uddannelse, og af dem der har et job, er 1 ud af 5 i et job de er overkvalificeret til. Samtidig har der aldrig været en større jagt efter nye talenter. Men jagten kommer med en pris, oftere rammer virksomhederne simpelthen forkert. Randstad har regnet ud af det i snit koster 500.000 kr at skifte en akademiker ud på en dansk arbejdsplads. Det er rasende dyrt at hyre den forkert medarbejder. Vi er Excelerate og vi har en løsning der kan sænke arbejdsløsheden blandt nyuddannede akademikere, samt spare virksomheder for både tid og penge når de skal hyre nyuddannede akademikere. Løsningen er en platform der matcher universitetsstuderende på deres sidste år af uddannelsen med virksomheder med henblik på speciale samarbejde. De studerende vil bruge platformen fordi vi gratis øger deres eksponering for potentielle speciale samarbejdsvirksomheder. Virksomhederne vil bruge platformen som et lead genererings værktøj til nemt og billigt at tage nye graduates ind. Excelerate opfylder enhver HR / hiring managers drøm : En ikke-comittende smagsprøve på hvordan en kommende medarbejdere er at arbejde sammen med. Det vil drastisk nedjustere antallet af bad hires, hvilket spare virksomheden for en masse penge, og vil hjælpe gevaldigt på churn raten.

aTalent Recruiting

aTalent is a recruiting company founded in 2004, owned by The Guild of Industrial Engineering and Management Prodeko ry, KY- Aalto University business students and Prodeko alumni ry. Our headquarter are in Autotalo in Kamppi, Helsinki, where we have approximately 60 young professionals working. In 2016 we opened an office in Tallinn in order to secure our growth in the future as well. Our operations are based on three things: - Satisfied customers - Motivated, talented and committed personnel - Evolving and value creating talents aTalent specializes in young educated professionals in the beginning of their careers in the fields of IT, technology and business.

Rope Robotics

Rope Robotics is the developer and producer of an automatic BR-8 robot to be used as a unique repair solution for leading edges on turbine blades. Wind turbine blades need to be repaired to maintain their high performance. With manual labor turbine blades can only be repaired 20% of the time during a year due to the fact that it requires technicians to climb up with support from ropes. Using our robot to do the repair and maintenance work in the heights, we are going to expand this repair window and to improve the working environment for the technicians. We have several robot pilots in the pipeline in various places around the world and have received major funding from the EU and Danish Government.

Soundsensing

Our system of small sensors (IoT) will feed you information about noise and sound levels over time. Our bleeding-edge technology (ML) differentiates the source of the sounds automatically, and will over time produce a detailed overview of your soundscape. We give property owners better control of their noise levels, so they can effectively improve employee performance, health and well-being, real-estate prices, or just reduce the cost of necessary improvements.  TL;DR: Noise is wrecking havoc on human health, and we are going to fix that.

Danish Social Innovation Club (DANSIC)

Danish Social Innovation Club (DANSIC) is Denmark's largest platform for social innovation. It is a voluntary non-profit organization run by ambitious Danish and international students which aids and inspires different actors in society, with social innovation methods and interdisciplinary work. We work to solve some of the greatest current societal challenges. Our mission is to create a society that is socially, environmentally and economically sustainable. DANSIC is supported by an Advisory Board of leading individuals and organizations in the fields of social innovation and entrepreneurship, and receive aid from sponsors and funds. DANSIC holds an annual event where different actors participate, and social innovation and specific societal issues are on the agenda. This year DANSIC will work on how mindfulness can be connected to sustainability.

Indo Naturals

Indo Naturals delivers zero-plastic everyday products helping people on the journey to a sustainable lifestyle.The products are made utilizing the vast natural resources of rural India. These resources are often left unused, while millions of people living within the nature, are increasingly getting poorer. Producing plant-based products in India is a unique opportunity to reduce plastic waste from everyday lives in Scandinavia and Norway, while contributing to reduced poverty in rural India. We are a small team of Scandinavians and Indians working across borders to create both a zero-waste brand and a disruption of business as usual. The social purpose of Indo Naturals drives the team forward through the challenges arising when starting a company based on International trade and strong ethical standards. This drive probably comes from our shared love for exploring nature and new cultures, and therefore our strong desire to preserve the oceans, the natural world, and the diversity of the human world society.
