We help our clients find the perfect diamond ring in our partner's jewelry assortments when they are getting engaged, married or just want to give their partner a fantastic gift. Diamond Scout was founded in the spring of 2019 after one of our co-founders had a great deal of trouble finding the right engagement ring for his current wife through Danish jewelry stores. He therefore ended up on an American affiliate site where, with the help of their good advice, he found a ring from one of their jewelry partners. Based on this experience, it became clear to him how difficult a process it is to find the right ring and that you typically end up paying an overprice for jewelries. Based on his experience with the American company, he was inspired to start a similar company in Europe. Today this company is called Diamond Scout and aims to make it easy and transparent to choose the perfect diamond ring. We are still in the very early stages and currently lack a director who can get the company up and running.

Users contribute to our database by uploading pictures and videos of their experiences. In contrast to other social media platforms, this content has actual innate value, as it serves the function of being live updates from ongoing events, available for all users in the area to see. So Happens not only show’s you what’s going on in the future, but also what’s going on in real-time, and what’s already happened. It’s an app where you can find every event and happening going on, wherever you are in Norway. You find all relevant information like description, time, place, direction, and tickets. If you’re a tourist and the content is in a foreign language, we also translate this for you (next version feature). We integrate content automatically and free from the largest databases in the world, as well as smaller local sources. The reason we’re able to integrate such a large amount of content is due to the extensive trend in open API’s, meaning that we now have access to large amounts of content that until recently was not available. We’re able to catch all the largest events, but also smaller events that often fall under peoples radar. We’re a platform for these types of events to profile themselves, and distribute themselves towards a larger crowd without having to pay for it. We make all events accessible and easy to find by a very thorough categorization, in order to distinguish between all forms of happenings.

Hurricane Unwinder is building an intensity forecast for hurricanes, typhoons and tropical cyclones. A one-point change on the five-point Saffir-Simpson scale statistically translates to a seven-fold change in damages and intensity information is thus of key importance. In the long run, our goal is to find weather modification opportunities for downgrading the intensity. Customer segments for the forecast include disaster management and (collateralized re)insurance that can use the intelligence to avoid some of the multi-billion euro physical and financial damages that hurricanes, typhoons and tropical cyclones cause every year. Violence against women – particularly intimate partner violence and sexual violence – is a major public health problem and a violation of women’s human rights. Global estimates published by WHO indicate that about 1 in 3 (35%) of women worldwide have experienced either physical and/or sexual intimate partner violence or non-partner sexual violence in their lifetime. The AI tool is expected to act as a reliable source of information for women on their rights and where to seek different levels of support. The tool will be providing step by step recommendations to victims and act as a helping friend. This intervention is expected to address a chronic development issue and to have a cross-cutting impact on SDG 3 (ensure healthy lives and promote well-being for all at all ages) and SDG 5 ( Achieve gender equality and empower all women and girls). Furthermore, the AI tool could also help in building a network for anonymous peer to peer support networks among users who are experiencing similar incidents. The tool is an open-source project and it is community build in collaboration with IPV experience experts, professionals, and collaborating NGOs Nicehearts ry, Naisten Linja, and Kynnys ry. The company has signed a Letter of Intent for the partnership for collaboration with the United Nations Technology and Innovation Lab (UNTIL).
