For the past three years, SHFT has been working on creating the worlds most intelligent virtual running coach. SHFT is here to help runners worldwide reduce the risk of injury while improving their running technique and energy efficiency.The system consists of two pods - one placed on the chest, and one placed on the right shoe - that in combination collects your individual running data, and communicates over bluetooth with our app.The company is based on the 5th floor of the IT University.

JodaCare is a digital communication platform that connects family caregivers and the health personnel taking care of their loved ones. This is especially helpful if the patient has trouble with their memory or communication abilities, and therefore cannot share daily information about themselves to their different groups caregivers. JodaCare is excellent for nursing homes, assisted living facilities and home services.  In JodaCare we are a versatile group of people, all with different backgrounds and ages. We all have experience being either informal caregivers or health personnel. This gives us an unique insight in our end user needs.

We are an education technology start-up, with extensive change management experience, unique insights in workforce trends and technology, and pedagogy at its core. All team members have solid international experience from fields like mobile technology, business development and technology management, international education, instructional design, and learning sciences research.The team consists of Fredrik Harloff, Chief Executive Officer, and Mihaela Tabacaru , Community Manager, both co-founders of NewSchool, working full time. The third co-founder, Stian Hofslett Thowsen, works full time as a teacher and part of management team at Langaugen secondary school in Bergen, Norway. Besides the three co-founders, NewSchool relies on an interdisciplinary board of administration with senior level execs: Anne Posner, Bjarne Solhaug, and Paal Kaperdal, all with broad experience, covering international business development expertise, publishing house and human resources expertise, and digital transformation expertise.
