Behind Bars Agency

Since its founding in 2015, Behind Bars has been working to disrupt the market by designing and building next-generation bars for the hospitality industry. Sideflow

Sideflow is circular economy service, who is developing a service to help textile companies eliminate waste. We do it by building a platform that connects industrial sidestreams to potential utilizers. From all the material used in textile manufacturing in Finland, up to 30% ends up directly into waste, most commonly as cutting waste. Global research suggests that the amount can be even higher, up to 45% when also deadstock is included. We are creating a service and a platform that recognizes the material waste in an early phase and connects it to potential utilizers - companies that can use the rescued material in their products as it is, or after it is processed to new materials. Through our work in textile productions, we recognized the issue, and ran experiments and pilots to find solutions. In the pilots we have been able to eliminate waste by channeling the waste to new products. There lies undiscovered value in industrial sidestream, both for the economy and the ecosystem, and our mission is to recover that.

Pleaz

Pleaz.io is a digital platform designed to implement active breaks in between office and everyday working hours. We make it easy to find short video instructions for active breaks varying from 2-10 minute sessions, enabling users to maintain the physical and mental well-being of themselves in any working situation. With Pleaz, we help global companies in creating healthy workplaces for their employees, and love to practice what we preach! The foundation of the company is scientifically based and has been tested within the Danish public school-systems for five years, before pivoting to larger organizations through a digital platform in 2020. We are currently bootstrapped with soft-funding, and are looking for more entrepreneurial spirits to join the team and help taking the platform to the next level! The idea: We innovate because of a dream about an everyday life with better well-being and efficient time. We create digital tools that help you get off the chair in your everyday life. The Pleaz-Team has successfully moved the world with two concepts: A concept for schools and a concept for companies. Common for both is a solid foundation of evidence-based science on mental and social well-being, human physiology, and biomechanics. Both of our concepts are well tested, which enable us to establish a strong connection between theory and practice. We strive for simplicity – to make it easier for you to take care of your own physical and mental well-being. Pleaz helping companies: Our new concept for companies has emanated from a problem-solving way of thinking. We saw a need for energy boosts during long workdays and meetings. The Pleaz platform is a tool for better physical and mental well-being. It is designed to make the most of your time and you can choose freely from 5 categories with activities: Mind & Brain, Mindfulness, Energizers, Teambuilding, Functional, and Competition. We call our activities Pleazers. Every activity comes with video instruction allowing colleagues to utilize our quick and structured method for individual or team activation. Every Pleazer is based on science – in this way we serve you with the important answer to the question: What is the benefit from this? In short, we want to give you the tool for a healthier work-life.

Chromologics

Chromologics is a Danish biotech spin-out from the Technical University of Denmark. We have developed a fungal biotech platform for the production of novel, natural colorants. Our proprietary fermentation process allows us to be first movers to introduce lab-grown food colorants to the market. Our production is sustainable, scalable and cost-competitive. Unlike other existing natural colors, our colorants are not extracted from high value raw materials like fruit and vegetables, but produced by our wild type cell factory. Our fungal strains are non-GMO and our pigments are compatible with most dietary needs, including kosher, halal, and vegan diets. We are in the R&D phase.

About Us: We are an Oslo-based independent entertainment and media production company, founded in 2019. Our team members have backgrounds from such diverse fields as banking, finance, business administration, advertising, film production and games development. We also have extensive experience with successful social media influencing, content creation and community building, particularly on Youtube and Facebook. The Problem: Self-actualization is becoming increasingly difficult in a changing and tumultuous world. For many, the cumulative effects of pandemic crisis, financial recession, political polarization and a hardened job market is frustration, and a greater need for entertainment and escapism as a means of self-actualization through vicarious experiences. Our vision is to fulfill this growing need for self-actualization. Our mission is to develop globally scalable products that fulfill the needs the marketplace does not adequately cater to today, and which are capable of surviving both recessions and pandemic crisis. Product/Solution: Our product is entertainment brands, based on proprietary video game properties. We aim to establish these brands first as videogame properties, and then use the passion and investment of gaming audiences as the gateway to expand these videogame properties into Transmedia franchises - including comics, third party merchandise and apparel, as well as licensed adaptations in other media, such as film and animation. Opportunity: The Gaming Market is global from day one, with digital gaming storefronts such as Steam, PSN and XBOX Live retaining millions of existing customers worldwide. Gamers are a heavily invested group of customers with both a high willingness to pay, as well as established networks of influencers and discussion forums, which greatly facilitates advertising efforts. Furthermore, gaming has been proven to be both Recession- and Pandemic proof, with game sales being largely unaffected by 2008 financial crisis, while sales records were broken during the ongoing COVID-19 crisis. Consumer behavior during the ongoing crisis has further confirmed the need for (and subsequently, the financial potential in) self-actualization through entertainment. Why us, and why now: We are passionate about entertainment and the creative process, we have business understanding, insight into the fan mindset and a unique strategy which enables us to see and seize upon opportunities the incumbents in the gaming market have missed. Furthermore, the recent crisis has caused many of these incumbents to struggle with adapting their organization and cost structure to the current working climate. By contrast, a start-up like us may be better suited to develop a sustainable and scalable production pipeline fit for the economy we are moving into. Right now is the perfect time to enter the entertainment- and videogame markets.

Entrepreneurship Exchange - EEX Oy

With this platform we want to bring the voice of the sustainably conscious consumer and help them channel their voice to help them communicate with brands, and to bring brands in front of their target group; the next generation of advertising. Responsible branding will be the way brands will compete in Addlrr for the attention of the consumers and the consumers will make informed choices of whom to buy from. By interacting with brands, users get points that are later converted into means to fund different causes within the app, creating a diversion of the multi billion dollar ad industry into a force for good.
