We are a start up game studio that creates casual mobile games within the freemium model. Instead of listening to our history teacher, we created excel sheets, so we could calculate which seeds would give most points when harvesting in Farmville, and we created casual tournaments, where we were playing for M&M’s. Already back then, we knew gaming was our field. 3 master’s degrees and 7 years later, here we are; Taphouse Studio, created by 3 tech-savvy women with a love for casual gaming. We are laid back types with great humor but also a passion for gaming which shines through. We use sprint planning and try mixing corporate strategies with a playful design approach, to get the best product delivered. EAT GRIM is a platform for ugly and surplus fruits and vegetables. We are fighting one of the world’s most pressing environmental issues: about 1/3 of fruits and vegetables produced are lost for aesthetic reasons or because they are overproduced - while we are worried that we can’t feed the growing populations of the world. So in 2018, we created EAT GRIM. We source the ugly and surplus produce directly from farms and bring it to the market in two ways: through a food box subscription to private consumers, making it easy for consumers to eat more sustainably. We also supply GRIM produce to food businesses that want to make their sourcing more sustainable and transparent. What's more, there was a huge gap between refugees and civil society, making it even more difficult to work together. It was then that the idea of REstart -- the world's first local crowdfunding platform specifically for refugees -- was born. Since then we have grown to a team of more than 28 volunteers, including a board of advisors, web team, development, marketing & communications, and a growing network  across Denmark and Europe, and the Middle East. While hundreds of crowdfunding platforms already exist, we take pride in being local and providing our clients with the support throughout the start up journey.
