The world runs on software but creating and operating it is becoming more complex day by day. DevOps people (people that handle these kinds of complexities) are very hard to find and are the most expensive folks in a startup team. We have abstracted the complexity of infrastructure and environment setup so that developers and startups could start being productive right away and see the result deployed on a server with a single click. In our past, we have struggled with this complexity ourselves. In 2015 when we started our first startup, which was a scholarly search engine and database, we worked 6 months on our first version. When it was time to deploy it, it took us another 3 months to manage to deploy it in a scalable and secure way. There must be a better way!

Sensorbee is based and manufactures in Linköping, Sweden. The company was founded in 2014 by David Löwenbrand. David possesses a professional background in technology - he co-founded Kreatel, later sold to Motorola. Owning a farm himself, inspired him to experiment with sensors and mobile technologies. Today, Sensorbee employs 15 persons in development and production. Sensorbee provides a wireless outdoor sensors solution for the agricultural sector. The Sensorbee solution is based on a battery-powered NB-IoT network connected base unit, together with exchangeable sensors. Sensors range from temperature, humidity to silo levels and electric fence supervision. The system requires minimum technical knowledge and can easily be handled from the Sensorbee app. The solution can be used for alerts as well as logging historical data. The farmer can visually view all sensors on a map, thanks to the built-in GPS functionality.

VOED er i dag et team på fire kamerater som sitter hos StartupLab Bergen for å jobbe med prosjektet. Vår MVP lanseres om kort tid etter to års arbeid. We founded Metaito in February 2019, after more than 4 years at NTNU. The initial idea was sparked in 2014 when we discovered the challenge of organizing our resources as new students. We have since then gone through several iterations of prototypes. Through exploration of the problem, we have developed a vision. We want to give people control over their resources, help them organize information and facilitate sharing with others. We want to reduce distractions and improve focus. "There is an app for everything" is a famous quote. Today we can add "web based" to the statement. But still, there is no single app for everything. We constantly juggle apps that we choose based on goals, preferences and context. We use several apps for similar goals and we often use them in multiple contexts, such as work and personal. To solve these challenges we are creating a platform for organizing and sharing information and tools on the internet. Our plattform will let you organize any app, in other words it will help you juggle. We will let you use apps across contexts, as well as letting you use another one when it better suits your goals. We want to create a distraction free environment where you can organize the internet in a way that makes sense to you, while utilizing the strengths of the community. We want to give you focus and collaboration, without compromise.

Last year (2019) we launched the Myra Prints mobile app to order custom magnets in a convenient way. We dipped our toes and made sure we can convert peoples wishes to physical objects. Accomplished. This year (2020) in February we finally launched the revolutionary Photobook Designer that we have been working on for almost one year now. It's an overcrowded market, but we have one advantage: Our photobook designer is easier to use than any other in the market! It's not just me saying so, my mom thinks so too :p Yes, this hasn't passed "the mom test" yet. That's the next step of the journey. We are two people dedicated to this and being helped by about 5 freelancers.
