Queue is a music app that changes the way in which we listen to music together. In the 21st century, most people have a mobile phone and easy access to music on demand. People therefore develop their own individual taste in music and the music we listen to has become an important part of our identity. The fact that music preferences may be very different even within a homogeneous group of people has changed the music experience at parties. Satisfying music expectations has become a huge challenge and often the party host will have spent many hours worrying and trying to create the perfect playlist for the party. Still, many of the guests will constantly be dissatisfied with the music playing. They want their own favourite song to play and will try to find a way of changing the music. Since current music streaming apps like Spotify are designed for singular use, they are not suitable for multiple people adding songs to the playlist at the same time. Such use can therefore cause the whole queue to mess up and suddenly, songs will be repeated, or completely random music will play. The party host will then have to spend time fixing the problem while the guests are complaining, and the party atmosphere is destroyed.
