Parkiro AB is a Swedish based AI and mobility startup that was founded in 2019 by two entrepreneurs and academics to disrupt the parking industry and change the parking experience to adapt to the future vision of smart cities and autonomous mobility. We are making the parking experience smoother, smarter, seamless, cheaper and integrated with other transportation and smart mobility systems.

We're solving a very big problem in the world's cities: That we don't know enough about what architecture, urban spaces and services that city-dwellers like and want. With a smartphone app coupled with a data intelligence platform, we retrieve raw data from people on the street and, through intelligent handling of big data, offer a whole new level of insight into what makes a good urban world. These insights will not only help us create better cities to live in — they are also highly monetisable.  --- We are currently three people: Two Danes and one external developer building our backend MVP. Our Danish co-founder, Anders Ojgaard, has 18 years experience with both start-ups and consulting for some of Denmark's biggest companies and is a well-known figure on the urban design scene in Denmark. He is not a developer but has years of experience working with tech-builds, including designing applications — and also has years of experience working with urban architecture and communications. He recently left a position as the head of an internet project that had one of Denmark's largest corporations as its investor. Our backend developer has 10+ years of experience and works with a big stack. Significant experience with system architecture, PHP, JavaScript, server setups etc. Now building experience with Python and Swift. We have a product concept, a design and a prototype. We are currently building a MVP, expected to be ready mid-2020. We are too early-stage for funding. We have, however, had an unusual degree of interest — including from both European VCs and one in the US. The aim now is to launch the MVP in a controlled environment (single city) as quickly as possible, presumably Copenhagen. Once we have built up an initial user-base, we will go back to the investors that have asked to be contacted at this stage. We are currently also laying the ground for collaborations with the biggest cities in Denmark, and have had one top-level meeting about a future partnership. We are currently interested in talking to 1-2 potential co-founders that want to come in at this early stage. At least one of these should be an experienced developer. The other could be a person with other, relevant experience from start-ups or working with urban architecture and environments.  Our website is currently password protected. Access will be given to interested parties.

We create technology that enables developers and companies to easily add voice UI functionalities into their services (apps, websites, hardware...). We believe that the true killer app for voice technology is still to be seen and it won't have anything to do with smart speakers or voice assistants. We have developed our own speech recognition and NLU technology, based on our team members' experience from Google, Apple (Siri) and Amazon (Echo, FireTV, Dash).
