Our mission is to help these children and their families to form a healthy and sustainable lifestyle. What we do is to digitalize clinical childhood obesity treatment. We provide a platform that connects clinics with their patients. Childhood obesity is a major global health issue leading to cognitive and psychosocial problems and several non-communicable diseases. “Childhood obesity is one of the most serious public health challenges of the 21st century” – Global Strategy on Diet, Physical Activity and Health, WHO. Successful childhood obesity treatment brings on a life-style change resulting in a sustainable weight after an initial relative weight loss. There are effective traditional methods but they require almost weekly meetings with the caregivers (USPSTF 2017), something that the families struggle to handle and the society cannot afford on any significant scale. We bring on a new treatment paradigm based on measurable outcome instead of process goals. This lowers the risk of giving incorrect advice and reduces the stress associated with treatment. Our program is enabled by data collected at home. The data is presented to the families in a way that promotes self-management of health, while it’s presented to the healthcare professionals in order for them to intervene in the pivotal moments for their patients’ success. More patients can thus be treated with a fraction of the resources per patient compared to traditional methods. Our clinical results are outstanding and have been verified in clinical trials. loop-it is a smart and circular Packaging-as-a-Service. We developed a digital reuse system for take-away packaging to prevent single-use waste. We make take-away financially and environmentally sustainable for our customers and users. The economy is only 9% circular. Packaging loses 95% of the value after one usage and 30.000 paper cups are used every minute worldwide with only 0.25% being recycled. This linear system leads to continuously ordering and throw away cups. This includes the depletion of resources, environmental pollution with increasing costs for waste management and ecological destruction referring to the change of ecosystems. There is a need to transform our throw-away culture. We developed a circular and digital system to prevent single-use waste and costs, benefit the environment and enable returning customers. loop-it stands for circularity, profitability, consumption insights, and convenience. We transform the to-go system by being the interlink of all actors for a sustainable consumption. How loop-it works: 1. Order your food or drink in a loop-it cup or box at any partner location. 2. We offer consumer insights to our partners and convenience for the users. Our cups are 100% recyclable, shatterproof, BPA-free and up to 1000x dishwasher safe. We combine the needs and problems from society, economy and the environment in our user-centred system. loop-it started based on the massive amount of waste from paper cups on campus, in cities and overfilled bins. The ecosystem does not naturally produce waste. Waste is a social construct based on human interventions. We want to transform this linear system into a circular system in a collaborative approach.
