Over the last 2 years we have seen an explosive increase in the sale of drones, and this trend will continue in future years. In line with this extremely increasing sales and the number of drones in the air worldwide, we have over the past year also seen an increase in adverse events between drones and manned aircraft.
In fact we read now weekly about drones that cause almost collisions or prevent manned aviation on somehow. examples are close flights to airports, unapproved flights close disaster areas, obstruction of helicopters to land, obstruction of helicopters engaged in extinguishing fires etc. In addition, we have flights that creates a high risk of popular assemblies and the highly concentrated settlements for to mention some.
This development of adverse events will regrettable increase the way we see it. We have therefore developed the +Drone app. It works so that drone operators around the world sign up within the app, Then they register their flights. It can then be selected between advantage flights (Drone companies) or recreational flights (hobby pilots).
Their flights are registered on the map via symbols and circle showing operational altitude of the Drone (RPAS) at the time and distance (geofence). It is also possible to extract information from each drone on the map simply by clicking on a drone symbol. Other drone operators may then at any time see where it is drone activity in their region.
BUT most importantly manned aviation can go into the app and see where there is drone activity.
