Introduction:

Are you the CTO we’re searching for?

Squire is a service marketplace facilitating the connection between freelancers offering services and customers who are in need of service assistance. Squire will be available as both a web-application and app on Google Play and the App Store which will be launching on the 1st of February 2021. We are looking for a full-stack developer to help us maintain and update both the frontend and backend of the platform. 


About the role:

Squire already has their MVP so your role as CTO would be focused on improving, maintaining, and strengthening our platform’s code. We are on the lookout for a full stack developer, who is proficient in React Native, Node.js, React.js, and cloud hosting on AWS. The CTO position at Squire is currently vacant and will be granted to our next lead developer. We are very close to launching, so you would play a vital role in ensuring our launch to the Danish market goes smoothly. It is especially important for you to know that Squire runs on both browsers, Android, and iOS. 


Requirements:

  • Full-stack developer

  • Proficient in React Native

  • Proficient in Node.js

  • Proficient in React.js

  • Proficient in AWS (S3, EC2 & Elastic Beanstalk)

  • Experience with handling various API’s and other integrations

  • An understanding of NGINX

  • Good understanding of UI/UX (not a requirement)

What you’ll be doing:

  • Working closely with our small team - true startup style!

  • Maintaining & developing our platform’s code

  • Working in collaboration with the team to code and develop future updates

  • Act as an advisor for app & website design

You will be our main developer meaning you will be in charge of the coding and programming of our application and website. The app and website have already been built and are operable, therefore your focus will be on making sure the platform is maintained and execute on any additions required by management.

They can become a Squire freelancer and start earning with a mere few clicks. For the customers, Squire provides a consolidated marketplace with a variety of services to choose from. In the case of the customers on the platform, our platform provides an easy step by step process, allowing customers to find freelancers much faster than using traditional methods. We have experienced that many people around us have lost their jobs. We want to build a solution to this, providing people who have lost their income a means to earn a living. Efficient access to services is something we believe the danish economy lacks, by creating new demand and supply for service jobs, we hope to stimulate the economy by creating a platform that encourages spending and income generation during a time of suppressed economic growth.
