Trading Manager – Japan
Nordgreen is a new Danish watch brand which blends Scandinavian minimalism with fine craftsmanship of a leading Danish designer. The venture operates globally through a novel cross border e-commerce approach. We are seeking out a talented Japanese individual with knowledge in - or experience with - global e-commerce, to manage and grow Nordgreen's presence in Japan. This is a unique opportunity to get complete end-to-end P&L responsibility in one of the world's largest watch markets.
The Role Nordgreen is currently looking for a Trading Manager for Japan to build, manage and grow the brand's presence in the country. Nordgreen's Operation Managers are passionate entrepreneurs with exceptional leadership skills as well as the ability to get their hands dirty and build something from the ground up. Having an outstanding can-do attitude coupled with a high sense of urgency as well as an ability to be persistent and relentless is of the utmost importance when building a company from the ground up, which is the underlying reason for why Nordgreen primarily looks for candidates who have previously worked in high-performance environments and/or have some sort of entrepreneurial background. As a Trading Manager Japan, closely work with General Manager Japan and overseeing Nordgreen's P&L and all activities in the country, meaning that you will be responsible for all aspects of the business system. You are the in-charge of the OWNED channel including website, email, LINE etc., maximise the business opportunity through them. Business development, brand building, account management, international trading and continuous innovation are therefore all elements which you need to take care of daily. For you to be able to meet your targets effectively and efficiently, you'll have access to a high-level network of privileged partnerships. Responsibilities
Report to General manager Japan and oversee the P&L and maximise the revenue, growth strategy of Nordgreen in Japan.
You are the champion of Official website, update, optimise and localise to fit Japanese trend, plan and execute global and local contents, manage SEO, and AB test to maximise the revenue from the website.
Support Brand, Affiliate, Influencer, CS team
Configuring Nordgreen's multi-channel growth tactic and campaign strategy based on local consumer behaviour: utilise the owned media including website, social, LINE, Email etc.
Identifying and implementing new and innovative ways to drive traffic to the Japanese website as well as developing and improving traffic from the aforementioned channels.
Developing relationships with key stakeholders, prioritising new customer acquisition at the lowest cost possible.
Work in synergy with the rest of the Nordgreen international team to identify new growth opportunities and ways in which to improve our brand reputation and presence in Japan.
Deliver best in class experience partnering closely with design and editorial teams to brief and build engaging product pages that provide the customer with relevant information, advice and conversion opportunity.
Using our in-house data & technology platform to retrieve data and examine valuable insights on customer behaviour and trends.
Requirements
You hold a degree in IT, marketing, economics, branding or an equivalent working experience.
+3 years of managing website design, development, development with solid knowledge and skills of basic design and layout.
You must have experience working in the e-commerce industry.
You must have experience with or an understanding of:
ECRM, Shopify experience is an advantage
SEO, Social, Email Marketing, LINE
Attribution modelling
AB Testing
Google analytics
Customer segmentation
