At Famly, we’re looking for a Full-stack Engineer for our Marketing and Growth team to help us test a number of initiatives across the entire user journey to accelerate retention, activation and more.
Famly is on a mission to completely transform the childcare industry. Yeah - we know! It's certainly not fintech, but we do work in an industry where our work has a very real chance to ease stress, and save time for those who nurture and educate children. By doing so, it's a chance to have a positive effect on the lives of children themselves.
We’ve been shaking up the childcare software industry for 7 years. Now, hundreds of thousands of parents and staff use Famly every day in the UK, US, Germany, Denmark, and Norway.
Contribute both front-end and back-end code across our code base, using PHP, Scala and React.
Top-to-bottom ownership of Growth projects, including doing task breakdown, technical design, writing scalable code, and monitoring post-release analytics.
Collaborate with a multi-disciplined team to own both what and how we ship experiments and features.
Support and maintain our analytics infrastructure.
Be a part of the hypothesis building, testing, and analyzing.
Have demonstrated experience supporting and developing in both backend and frontend technologies.
Have demonstrated experience making data-driven decisions.
Possess a customer-centric mindset.
Are comfortable with ambiguity and scoping solutions with teammates.
Are comfortable providing caring and constructive feedback to others.
Are curious about product growth practices including experimentation.
Happy to use your expertise on areas that might seem unfamiliar at first, but you would still be the best one to run (some examples are helping the team manage the code for our attribution model and helping out with ad hoc development projects for acquisition campaigns)
If you don’t meet 100% of the above qualifications, you should still seriously consider applying. We’re building the team at the moment and are willing to make it fit with the right person.
We’re a mixed bunch in the Marketing and Growth team at Famly and you’ll be joining as our first in-team engineer. (Don’t worry though - we have plenty of engineer-peers in the Product department)
Ditte is the captain of the ship, she spends her time keeping all of our projects on track and meticulously removing obstacles and barriers to make sure we can all do what we do best. Matt, Aaron and Bronagh make up the content and copywriting part of the team and make sure the world knows about Famly. Martina and Marcus work on various and diverse campaign projects while ensuring all team members have access to valuable data. Toni, Zuzanna and Tove form our Production and Design team, where they constantly spit out beautifully made productions while smoothing the corners off for the entire team too.
Famly is built on transparency, less talk - more action, and making sure the person sitting next to you is the one shining, rather than yourself. We care about each other and the work we do, and are a close knit-team of around 50 people, from 17 different countries, all sitting in our central Copenhagen office just off Strøget. We eat lunch together every day, and always celebrate with cake. Sometimes with champagne. Check out our jobs page to get a better feel for our culture.
Flexible hours - you’re free to plan your days as you see fit.
Free lunch every day you’re in the office + as much coffee (or tea) as you can drink.
Marcus constantly confronting you about your 2nd piece of cake.
Drinks on Friday, gamer nights, jazz evenings and quarterly social events with the whole company.
A position where you can have a lot of ownership of your projects both in terms of responsibility and freedom to try new things. We’ll get you up and running and collaborate along the way, of course.
And most importantly the opportunity to develop your skills and understanding alongside coworkers you can learn from, and who want to learn from you.
We're looking to fill the position as soon as possible, so get your application in today by sending us:
Your CV incl. a description about yourself and why you’re the best person for this position, in whatever format you like.
Please note that we're looking for someone to join us here in the office in Copenhagen.
We're looking forward to hearing from you!
