Swappie is building a marketplace for easy and safe buying and selling of used smartphones. We buy phones from customers and companies, refurbish them in-house and sell them in top condition and with a proper warranty. Not only are we building a great business, but we also want to do our part for the planet and shift the global consumer behaviour to a more responsible one by making buying refurbished electronics more accessible.

We are the fastest growing B2C-startup in Helsinki, growing from 65 to 420 employees since May 2019 to present and still in hyper-scale mode, scaling globally!  We're looking for a Talent Business Partner to collaborate closely with our CTO, Jori in expanding our Tech team.  Taking ownership in building our tech talent pipeline, sourcing and tech hiring strategies alongside the talent team and Chris our new VP People.

What your day will look like

• Manage the end to end talent life-cycle of all tech/product hiring

• Source hard to find profiles and pitching Swappie to attract the best talent, employer branding at its best! 

• Constantly building a talent pipeline for future needs, from various sources, innovativeness is a virtue here

Interviewing candidates, making sure they are the perfect fit for the company and the role in question, recommending only the best to be presented to hiring managers

• Ensuring the best candidate experience by ensuring a smooth process, with consistency and timely communication 

• Advising hiring managers on what profiles to look for and bringing market data from the tech talent market

Writing appealing job ads, role profiles, role frameworks to assessing applications 

• Developing the recruitment process.  Sparring hiring managers and team members with interview skills, competence evaluations, etc. 

• Participate in the daily work of the tech teams to ensure you are up to date on everything tech

• Offer discussions with candidates and finalising agreements.   Making sure of their smooth transition from pre-boarding to on-boarding and beyond

About you

• 3-5 years plus experience in talent sourcing for technical & product related senior roles

• You will have a start-up / tech marketplace recruitment / talent acquisition background

• Technical understanding, to understand the requirements of the role and to be able to talk tech to the candidates and ensure they have correct competences (deeper technical evaluation is done by the tech team)

• Scarily ambitious and with an unreasonably high standard for what high standards are

• A hustler - you care about getting things done and when obstacles inevitably get in the way, you know how to navigate

• Super organised - able to project manage complex processes with multiple hiring managers

• Target driven and intensely commercial

• A self-starting learner, confident teaching yourself to do things you have never done before

• Someone who’s a great teammate and a positive, motivated person to be around

• A great brand ambassador for Swappie

• A great judge of character and skilled at interviewing and screening candidates

• End to end process management

• Excellent command of the English language
