OMNI is an online furniture brand that builds, curates, and delivers handcrafted office furniture and room setups to companies that care about creating attractive and productive work environments. We make quality furniture (rooted in the Danish design heritage) and inspiring office environments (inspired by major workplaces like Google and Airbnb) accessible to startups and medium-sized companies, who can subscribe to their dream office by way of just a few clicks.
Who would you be working for?
Our client OMNI is a Furniture as a Service company, building a platform that makes sustainable, ergonomic, and attractive office furniture easily accessible to companies, enabling them to create better work environments and improve sustainability by keeping high-quality, lasting furniture in circulation.
You'll be joining a fast-growing startup company that's on a mission to build solutions for the future of work and change the furniture industry as we know it today.
The company is currently based in Islands Brygge, Copenhagen, where you can enjoy the water and a new prospering area with lots of cafés, restaurants, and an enormous rooftop!
What will you be doing?
You will be reporting to the CEO and working closely with the management team to develop and implement OMNI's platform architecture. You will know which tech stack is ideal to implement based on the leadership team's requirements, as well as the client needs to be solved.
When joining a startup, time is of the essence. Therefore the ability to build prototypes fast while having scalability as a main part of your mindset is crucial to be successful.
You will be part of building an ambitious, motivating, and fun environment.
Specifically, you will:
Establish the tech stack
Build out the platform architecture
Build the backend and implement the frontend web and mobile-based applications
Design custom solutions (creativity here will also be important)
Take the lead on product development
Take the operational role yourself
Develop management reporting on activities and KPIs
Manage the product development department
Requirements
Fluent in English
Software engineering background
Highly structured in your approach and able to handle multiple priorities simultaneously
Eager to reach the highest level of quality
Excellent communication skills in order to express thoughts and correlate with peers across different departments
Able to accept and react to feedback from different entities
Eager to learn and adapt in a dynamic, fast-growing environment
Organized and able to create plans on a strategic level yet execute efficiently on a tactical level
Experience with building and shipping out B2B products
Bonus points
Extensive scaleup experience
Background from senior leadership positions in startups/scaleups
Experience building complex databases, solutions for fleet management, or blockchain solutions
Experience building and growing teams
At least once a day, having the ability to tell a bad joke and laugh at all of the other bad jokes in the office.
