We are developing the next generation software for automatic mold design for injection moulding. Do you want to be part of a young team working on a project with a potential huge impact on the injection moulding market? Then we have the job for you. In this job you will be lead on implementing and developing the last cornerstones of our software so we can bring it to market. It will both contain Geometric 3d modelling through code, implementation of smart algorithms and making a solid backbone.
(Newly graduated or experienced software developers)
REQUEST is a research project between DTU, LEGO and 3D Printhuset working on 3D printing of mold inserts for injection molding. In the manufacturing of molds, the design process can be very time consuming and expensive. As a result, 3D Printhuset has started developing a commercial platform for automatic mold design. The software is cabable of generating optimized mold designs for injection moulding which will save the designer precious time.
We are looking for talented people who can help us finish and bring this software to market. You will be in charge of getting the software (online platform) ready with input and help from us and the DTU team. The software is now on a prototype level which has been used to identify the interest for it with great feedback. The job will need a good understanding of full system development, as both the backbone and the features of the software has to be developed further.
List of possible tasks
Infrastructure surrounding the web-based automatic mold designs functionality.
Code design and implementation of geometric modelling
Implementation of simulations, feedback loops, cloud storage, security and more.
You should be:
Experienced in Python, Javascript and html
Experienced in web development
Independent and take own initiatives
Understanding 3D geometry
You could be confident in:
3D Modelling
Injection Moulding and other production methods
3D Printing
In this job you will be the main driver on the software side with a pontential of an expanding team surounding you. Our team is young and vibrant and you will be part of bringing a true startup project to market. You will be in a group of companies working with cutting edge development in different aspects of the 3D World. During the first year you will be part of a good collaboration between DTU, LEGO and 3D Printhuset researching the same subject (Project REQUEST - Innovation Fund - Grand Solutions).
Working at 3D Printhuset is flexible in working hours but mainly between 9-17 with extra hours in times of urgencies. You will get access to print on our inhouse 3D printers and use our other technology for expanding your knowledge in the 3D world.
We cant wait to get you onboard - we are ready to onboard as soon as possible :)
