VP of Marketing

We are looking for a highly esteemed Marketing professional that wants to join a rapidly scaling and well funded FinTech startup on a mission to revolutionise the pension fund industry internationally. You will be responsible for building and implementing our omni-channel go-to-market strategy. Furthermore, we expect you to have a growth hacking mindset, where your playbook includes strategic partnerships, referral programs etc. and not only increasing your digital marketing spend.

The Desired Candidate for the Job

You are experienced in running an omni-channel distribution strategy, where growth hacking and digital acquisition are equally important. Grandhood is delivering a workplace pension solution for SMEs and their employees. Thus, we are truly B2B-2C and therefore we also have two important conversions to maximize, i.e. the businesses and their employees. Moreover, increasing savings rates is an important KPI. It is beneficial if you have B2B-2C marketing experience with an extraordinary track record of maximizing conversion rates both on businesses and end-users.

You understand the chaos and lack of structure that sometimes describes a start-up and enjoys seeking the opportunities that it provides. You are turned on by the high ambitions and growth expectations and sees it as an attractive challenge to build up an international company from “nothing”. As important as your background, we focus on your leadership approach and competencies in order to take on this role.  

You might have a Product Marketing background with a solid understanding of data analysis, commercialisation of digital products within financial services and proven business acumen. You are obsessed with the customer journey, optimizing funnels and everything you do is centered around building a communication universe that is second to none. You always have the bigger picture for the execution and evolution of the brand narrative in mind. Finally, you need to have experience in building and implementing go-to-market strategies.

As VP of Marketing you will play a key role in the expansion of Grandhood, where you will drive the overall marketing strategy of the company, but also thrive on more operational tasks. You will run our Marketing team, be part of management and report to the co-CEOs. Furthermore, you will have cross-organisational touch points, e.g. with Product and Tech.

You will be responsible for building a data-driven Marketing setup and the following must be known territory for the right candidate:

Hard skills needed:

  • Lead, build and implement go-to-market strategies

  • Experienced in developing marketing road maps

  • Strong background in Project Management work

  • Understands how to tie Product and Marketing together

  • Develop a digital Marketing strategy

  • Strategic partnerships

  • Growth mindset

  • Collect and analyse data – including Cohort Analysis

  • Experienced in interpreting data and turning insights into action

  • Mixpanel, HubSpot, Jira, Asana etc.

  • Develop dashboards with relevant key metrics and focus with KPI’s

  • Support decisions with data and facts
