Hello Retail is growing rapidly – and we are looking for a experienced International Partnership Manager (IPM) to form our future international partnership strategy and maximize our referral revenue. Hello Retail is the market leader in the Nordic countries within Personalization and Conversion rate optimization (CRO) for the E-commerce market.

This is a new role to strengthen our present partnerships in the Nordics and Benelux and to further develop our future international strategy including even more markets.

Our company

Hello Retail was formed in 2013 and thousands of web shops in the Nordics and Benelux have chosen our Personalization engine. We are a fully managed SaaS solution which means that we are not just a platform. We take care of our customers from A-Z making sure that they get the most out of working with us. 

The product is based on a solid experience of Customer service, ecommerce CRO and Big Data / AI / Machine Learning – call it whatever you like – we like to name it intelligence :-). A product built from the ground up, now serving thousands of successful ecommerce businesses in several markets.

Today, we are almost 40 people based in Copenhagen with different nationalities which gives a great, international atmosphere with room for all types of people. We are relaxed but ambitious, we are having fun but know when to work, we cooperate but are fully aware of the value of being self-driven and motivated.

If you do not know Copenhagen already, the capital of Denmark oozes of atmosphere, lots of shopping, restaurants and cafées, and cool hangout places. You can cross Copenhagen by bike or electrical scooters in no time to go for street food, maybe even kayaking in the canals, or ice skating in the winter time. Copenhagen and Denmark is world famous for the world’s happiest habitants and the crime rate is close to zero. 

The office is 2 minutes from the central station with the best view you can find in Copenhagen, Penthouse floor on the Buen building.  


Your role in Hello Retail

The role is suited to an experienced IPM who can step into the role right away both strategically and operationally and may even have an already developed network within the E-commerce space. The Successful candidate will directly engage both present and new, potential partners.

You will work closely with and report directly to the CSO, to shape the partnership strategy for present and emerging markets, the latter will be in close collaboration with the CEO as well. 

The role has two overall objectives:

  • Develop and implement a suitable and sustainable partnership strategy and structure with existing partners

  • Actively identify and establish new partnerships in both existing and emerging markets. 

Both objectives will serve the higher goal to maximize referral revenue.


The above objectives will contain the following - but not limited hereto - overall tasks which will fall under your responsibilities:

  • Introduction

  • Needs assessment

  • Partnership structure presentation

  • Contractual negotiation

  • Follow-up

  • Various admin tasks

  • Financial partner assessment & payments

Once fruitful partnerships have been well renewed/established, you will work closely with our sales team to ensure that potential customers deriving from the partnerships are being handled according to our sales processes.

You will also work closely with our marketing team to ensure the initiation of agency activation tactics, such as but not limited to co-webinars, co-articles, co-newsletters, Co-branded presence at conferences and more. 

You are expected to apply your own creativity, innovation and experience to create and implement effective partnership projects.

You must have successful track record of relationship management and experience of offline partner engagement.

Being the new IPM, you should expect travel days in both EU and overseas. 


Key competencies & experience:

  • E-commerce experience is definitely a plus

  • First-hand experience of relationship management and a proven success of partner engagement

  • An active network within the international web agency space will help you a lot

  • Strategic business approach balanced with energy, drive, passion and the charisma to succeed

  • Excellent business development ability with a keen eye on marketing strategy and customer journey

  • Ability to create and deliver effective proposals, plans and methodologies and deliver these with partners

  • Proven ability to work across disciplines and business units in a cohesive manner

  • Strong organisational, project management and technical capability within partnership programmes

  • Effective at building relationships and creating influence over the phone, face to face, through networking and social media

  • Excellent written and spoken English skills is a must. Fluency in either Scandinavian languages or Dutch would also be an advantage
