Famly has been shaking up the childcare software industry for 7 years, and is now used by hundreds of thousands of parents every day in the UK, US, Germany, Denmark, and Norway. We’re a start-up based in central Copenhagen, and are expanding our product-market fit across various international markets.

Our users love our product, and in every market we enter, we find the sub-par usability of existing solutions has gone unchallenged for years. It’s a great landscape in which to bring a product that’s actually fit for 2020 - but we know we can do even better in terms of usability and visual consistency.

That’s why we need an experienced Senior UI Designer to take core parts of the Famly platform to the next level!

Job Description

We’re looking for an ambitious, structured, and talented UI Designer, who wants to learn and grow with the company. You'll be reporting to the Head of Product, working in a team of incredibly skilled people on a mission to make it easier to give children the best possible start to life.

Your responsibilities:

• You'll own the process of iteratively developing UI design prototypes and, together with the Product Managers, getting user feedback, conducting user research, and analysing user behaviour to arrive at the best possible design solution.

• Together with the Head of Product, you’ll be responsible for developing the Famly Design System, including formulating the vision for the overall IA, look and feel of the Famly product.

• You’ll work closely with our developers to ensure your designs are implemented to the highest possible benefit of the user.

In short: It'll be your responsibility to take the usability and look and feel of Famly to the next level.

Requirements

• You have significant experience creating highly usable, intuitive user interfaces.

• You’re able to design aesthetically-pleasing user interfaces and have a keen eye for detail.

• You can clearly communicate the reasoning behind your design choices.

• You are good at receiving and providing feedback, always able to take a step back and understand points of doubt from other people's perspectives.

• You have experience with not just creating, but also evolving design systems.

• You preferably have some flair for UX design

• You have a real drive to understand the users' needs

• You’re well-organised by nature

• You have an entrepreneurial spirit
