Are you passionate about clean, elegant code? Do you want to help us change the world? We are a passionate startup with the goal of revolutionizing the way clothing is manufactured. Become part of a small development team, using cutting edge DevOps and test automation, and help us write code to run, automate and optimize our state-of-the-art patent-pending clothing factory in Copenhagen.
You might know that oil is the number one most polluting industry in the world. But did you know that the second most polluting is the textile industry? This is caused by excess use of toxic chemicals and a yearly overproduction of 45 million pieces of clothing, which never get sold, and usually end up being burned or thrown away. At Rodinia Generation we are in the process of establishing a production ready smart-factory in the heart of Copenhagen, to prove that clothing and be produced locally, environmentally friendly and just-in-time.
We have spent the last two years researching and developing prototypes. This has given us a solid foundation for the next step: establishing a factory. The factory is located in the heart of Nørrebro, where we'll also have our offices. The factory will be equipped with state-of-the-art clothing manufactoring machines, that have a combined weight of 6 tons, multiple types of robots for sorting and transportation, as well as cameras for quality assurance of the production.
As a backend developer at Rodinia Generation you will report directly to the CTO, who has over 10 years of experience with development. You will become part of a team of three developers who have the task to develop the software that supports, automates and optimizes the entire production process of the smart-factory. There is plenty of opportunity to learn and take on increased responsibilities based on your seniority and interests.
We strive to write clean and robust code. You can expect to join a team that strives for high quality and automation. We already have a solid foundation for our microservices and web and mobile applications that we have planned to develop. Come and help us design and build the functionality we need.
Our stack
Microservices backend in ASP.NET Core
React & React Native
Docker, Kubernetes, Helm
Github and Github Actions
Microsoft Azure
We will be on-site of our factory, so it is important that you live in the area of greater Copenhagen. Along side of a working clothing production, we will implement solutions that will automate and improve production. Since we will build an innovative solution, we will develop a set of pre-defined projects, as well as constantly learn and adjust priorities when necessary (agile).
In addition to the normal web development tasks, like internal web applications, public facing web apps, mobile apps and dashboards, we will also develop a couple of innovative solutions. We will implement complicated algorithms for optimizing our usage of textiles, image recognition to find errors in our production line, machine learning to optimize our processes and last but not least integration with the physical machines at the factory.
Minimum requirements
Seat of residence in the greater Copenhagen area
