Founded in Copenhagen in 2017, LifeX is a rapidly-growing co-living company whose vision is to make anyone feel at home, anywhere in the world. In 3 short years, we have grown to over 70 apartments in the center of Copenhagen, Berlin, Munich, Paris, Vienna, and London with more than 350 active members. JOB DESCRIPTION 

WHAT WILL YOU BE DOING 

Our Product team’s mission is to contribute to LifeX’s ambitious vision by  developing an outstanding experience for our members and building unique internal tools. As a full-stack developer you will have a direct impact on the way the product comes to life. 

On a daily basis, you will be working on :

Development : You will be taking ownership of features development, working on the full stack (backend, frontend  and mobile app), implementing new features to solve our members and internal problems, working on refactoring, bug fixes and flows that impact users.

Design: You will be able to imagine new features and share your ideas, usually by defining other teams needs and problems in cooperation with them.

WHAT TECHNICAL STACK WILL YOU BE WORKING ON

• Typescript

• React

• React-Native using expo

• NodeJs

• GraphQL using TypeGraphQL that we sponsor

• PostgreSQL using TypeORM that we sponsor

• CD/CI (90% coverage)

• Hosted on AWS, Heroku & Netlify

WHO WILL YOU BE WORKING WITH

The product team is a small team composed of a developer, a designer and our CEO who, with product background, provides direction and manages the team.  Your direct leader and day-to-day manager is our developer Jordane. 

We work closely with the other teams and have a lot of interactions with them to discuss members’ feedback, problems, needs and product roadmap.

• Code fluency You should be inspired by our tech stack and have some experience with at least a part of it. We expect you to easily be able to translate solutions into code. 

• Problem solver We prefer to give our employees problems to solve, rather than solutions. We expect you to have a desire to learn about our members’ needs and other teams’ points of view.  

• Autonomy We give our team freedom and responsibility and expect you to take ownership of projects and tasks. We expect you to be able to make reasonable decisions when needed and search for answers.

RECRUITMENT PROCESS:

3. You will receive a challenge to be solved related to your role.

4. After finishing the challenge you will meet with the Product team to discuss the challenge, have a skills & knowledge assessment as well as getting to know the team better.  This chat will be followed immediately after by:
