Billogram aims to take invoicing from some dark corner of the to-do list, to something that fits into your life. The state of our easy, nifty and interactive payment solution means we’re well on our way, but there’s more to be done! We’re determined to improve companies customer experience, while revolutionizing an outdated debt collection industry and becoming the preferred payment provider for all subscription services. No biggie.
Hi 👋 Welcome! Glad you found your way here.
We’re Billogram and we do digital invoicing because we think traditional invoicing is lame. It’s basically anxiety on a paper, filled with apprehension (did I pay my invoices? Did our customer get their invoice?) and when done wrong it can waste so much time and energy. Time and energy that both sender and recipient could spend doing something else.
It’s not the easiest thing to solve – we want both sender and recipient to have the best experience possible but since their interests don’t always align it’s up to us to come up with smart solutions to satisfy both parties. And to do that, we need more problem solvers on our team.
The data team is a new endeavour at Billogram; we believe that we can provide a lot of value both to senders, recipients and to our own organisation by measuring, understanding and providing insights about what’s going on. This is just a one person team right now; already swamped with requests and work and we’re eager to expand this new and exciting part of our organisation.
So we’re looking for a data engineer with a curiosity towards machine learning/AI and data analysis. We’d like you to:
Have at least 2-3 years experience of data engineering
Know how you want your pipelines set up and how to structure your ETL jobs
Be familiar with AWS’s tools for data management
Like we’ve mentioned, it’s a small team; you’ll be working very closely with our data scientist who has extensive experience within the ML/AI field and statistical work (a great opportunity if you also have similar interests) and we are also currently looking for a data analyst to join this team. Small teams mean that you’ll get to do a bit of everything, however, you will be mainly focusing on the engineering parts. We’ve laid the foundation for a data lake setup with AWS Glue and Athena, which will become your responsibility to either iterate on or set up from scratch. Maintenance and further development will also be your area of responsibility and you will do a majority of the practical implementation.
The data team’s product is separate from the Billogram main service, but that’s where you’re getting your input from. Therefore it is commendable if you are familiar with our tech stack which includes python, PHP, MySQL, DynamoDB, GraphQL and React.js.
You’ll have around 50 great colleagues (20 in the product development department), a super homey office smack in the middle of Stockholm, flexible working hours, lots of interesting work and a whole bunch of laughs.
