We are looking for an ambitious investment intern to join the Angel Challenge team in Oslo to help with building deal flow and source investment opportunities for our programs in Norway. This also includes working with the startups taking part in our programs as well as building relationships with Norwegian and Nordic investors. Challenge accepted?

Startup Norway is an independent impact organization started in 2011 by passionate entrepreneurs, wanting to create a stronger and more inclusive startup community. 

We work to support the founders of Norway by developing services for founders, investors and the extended startup support system to increase the know-how in Norway on how to build companies. • Angel Challenge: Angel Challenge is a training program on startup investments to bring more private capital into the startup community in Norway. Since 2015, we have worked with over 500 startups and 400 investors in more than 10 Norwegian cities on startup investing and we have facilitated over 40 new startups investments in Norway.

Key responsibilities include:

• Contribution to all aspects of deal flow from sourcing, screening and evaluating new investment opportunities to assisting with due diligence, deal execution and closing funding rounds

• Mapping and researching the different startup ecosystems across regions in Norway to identify attractive new startups and investors

• Helping with building a more data-driven approach to managing our network, deal flow and due diligence initiatives

• Meeting and networking with exceptional entrepreneurs, investors and attending various events

Requirements:

• A team player that can interact with a lot of different people — you will interact with entrepreneurs, team members and other investors in multiple regions

• Curious and open-minded - You will face new companies and industries every day, likely in areas you’ve never heard of before

• Strong analytical skills with attention to detail - you are going to see a lot of pitch decks!

• Excellent communication skills in English and Norwegian - you will travel to most cities in Norway to create a broader network! 

• Previous startup and/or startup ecosystem experience is a plus

The Internship Program:

The investment internship program at Angel Challenge is a 6-month paid programme to train the next generation of entrepreneurs and investors in Norway. After completion, our ambition is that you will continue to pursue your career within the startup ecosystem, perhaps at a startup, perhaps at a Venture Capital or perhaps by starting your own company.
