Chief Product Officer (CPO)

Salary Competitive
Equity To be negotiated

Are you excited about building great products that are used by +1M users across borders? Can you think holistically, and joggle product development, stakeholder management, and commercial impact? Then join a fast-paced company that already has a unique position in the market, and that is hungry for shaping recruitment of tomorrow.

We are looking for a digital, strategic mastermind to lead the Product Development in Graduateland!

Who are you?

You are a product person with marketing- and strategic insight. You love the world of startups and would like to join a cool one. It doesn't hurt if you have experience with product design from previous jobs, but the role is mainly as manager of the Product & Tech-team.

You have a high energy level and are able to set a direction and motivate a group of people to follow along. Therefore, you also need to have good people and communication skills.

Maybe you've been in a startup before, maybe you've had your own company, or maybe you're just tired of the bureaucracy of corporate life and wishes to join a smaller setup - on it's way upwards.

You are hands-on and ready to do the work as an integrated part of your own team. You like to execute on what you set in motion yourself - not just sit and wait for others to make things happen.

You are a generalist, a do'er, a leader - for yourself and for everyone in the company, taking initiative and helping other departments out when needed.

And you have a love for the world of education, universities, students and graduates. These are the people we are working with and building for.

Your team is called Product & Tech, and is the merging of two teams into one unit. Product & Tech consists now of 3 full-time and 1 part time employee, where 2 work remotely.

What does the job require?

Some of the skills required:

  • Good understanding of digital design principles and the Agile framework

  • Good understanding of how programming/software development works

  • Holistic understanding of the interplay between product, marketing and sales

  • Professional writing skills, preferably in both English and Danish

  • Strong communications skills

  • Experience with creating sketches, prototypes and designs yourself

  • Good goal-setting and planning skills

Tools we use:

  • Jira

  • Google Analytics

  • Mixpanel

  • Google Drive

  • Hotjar

  • Intercom

  • Sketch

  • Zeplin

  • Internal CRM and CMS

What are we offering?

We offer a full-time position of around 40 hours a week. We've got great lunch, free coffee, a pension scheme and a lot of flexibilty of how you manage your schedule.

We offer a cool office space - now at Islands Brygge, but soon in Symbion; a co-working space for companies of all sizes and sorts.

We offer a group of colleagues with an average age of 29 - a young vibe and great energy every day at work - as well as at our Friday bars, parties, trips etc.

The salary is competitive, and for the right profile, there is a warrant program after the first year of employment.

Who are we?

Graduateland was founded 10 years ago and has grown to become the prefered parter for "early recruitment" in Denmark. We've expanded to Europe and have multiple partner universities spread out across Europe.

We have a user base of 1.300.000 students and graduates and counting. Our users love our focus on student jobs, internships, graduate programs - and full time positions for when they graduate their educations.

We have 30+ university partners, including all 8 Danish universities. The partnerships entail that we provide a white-label version of Graduateland.com to the individual universities, customizes to their brand identity, educational focus and other needs. The development of all these socalled 'gateways' is a major focus for the coming years.

Our team consists of 15-20 'Graduatelands' from Denmark, Sweden, Germany, Switzerland and Italy. The majority work with customer succes/sales, while the rest work with product, software development and operations.

Our platform is both a web app and a native mobile app for iOS and Android. The platform is mainly built in PHP, where the native apps use ReactJS. Besides our user-facing platforms, we also have an internal Admin system, a Recruiter for companies to post jobs and projects, a University admin system and our internal CRM. These complimentary systems also live under the Product-department's area of responsibility.

When do you start?

We'd rather wait for the perfect candidate than rush it - so we don't have a specific time and date for when to start. If you are ready to start ASAP, that's great - but we also have the flexibility to wait, if you are currently employed somewhere else.

Hit the apply button - or write Patrick Lund, CEO, directly. Then swing by for a coffee, get the full intro, and we'll find out if you and Graduateland is a match made in heaven.
