LYS Technologies is the leader in Healthy Light and has built the world's first database on human sleep and wake cycles. Using machine learning communicated to users through an iOS app, it develops data-driven solutions to improve health from sleep to patient recovery times. LYS Technologies offers data services to lighting, corporate, construction and research clients. It has also built an unique wearable light sensor, called the LYS Button, to capture its own proprietary data.

Responsibilities

The ideal candidate is a strong programmer across all stages of the app life cycle, from ideation through to development, testing, launch and maintenance. Experience in connected devices is a plus since our data is collected by our purpose-built Bluetooth enabled hardware.

• Work in a team of developers, data scientists and designers to build our core platform

• Take ownership of your project by designing, building, maintaining and iterating new features and new products

• Create and maintain an overview of tasks at hand and provide estimates to stakeholders.

• Iterate and optimise products based on feedback and data analytics

  
  

Requirements

Here are some of the things we think will be valuable, but we're also open-minded. If you recognise yourself in any of these then we’d love to hear from you.

• 3+ years’ experience working in an app development role

• Has released at least 1 app on the App Store

• Strong experience with Swift

• Experienced in Managing Projects including all stakeholders

• Experience with or interest in learning about backend and DevOps

• Ability to work independently and to take ownership of the product 

• Experience with UX and/or UI Design is a plus

• Experience in Connected Devices (Bluetooth enabled) is a plus

• Experience in graphics programming is a plus

• Knowledge of unit and functional testing

• Exposure to other languages and platforms
