AI for People defines what Silo.AI stands for. We want to build a world with safe human-centric AI that frees the human mind from manual labour and empowers human creativity. We are currently building a new product R&D team in Helsinki and now searching Backend Developer.

As a Backend Developer you will be working as an active member of Silo.AI's new internal product R&D team of 5 people in the Helsinki office (located in Maria01). As part of the autonomous team, you will design and develop data-heavy, secure, performant, and highly reliable backend services for cloud and edge environments. You will design and implement the integration of AI solutions to broader software systems, and take care of packaging, testing, deploying, and supporting the software you deliver.

Meet the team

Your closest team members will be your product R&D team consisting of Lead Developer, other Backend Developer and Frontend Developer. This will be a new team for Silo.AI and you get to influence from the beginning the ways of working and technologies we will be using, together with your team. You will be working closely with our AI Scientists while building our new products. What we value

• Strong experience with a broad set of languages and technologies for backend software development, including Python

• Strong skills in designing and building cloud-deployed data-heavy systems

• Desire and ability to quickly acquire broad high-level intuition of AI systems and solutions

• Experience in devops, AI systems and frameworks, frontend development, scientific Python stack, edge deployments, infrastructure automation, and distributed databases is a big plus
