We’re the smart marketing platform for the creative and music industries. Our links route millions of fans across the globe to the content they love, in the apps they love.
Linkfire is looking for a full-time Finance Intern to support our Finance department from December 1st, 2020 to the 1st of March, 2021 (Please note that this position is unpaid.)
What can you expect?
To learn and become a part of a small engaged team that is on a mission to automate the daily financial operations and to take it to the next level.
You will join a company with roots and heart in music. We’re a team of 50+ developers, engineers, product managers, and more, drawn from every corner of the globe. The common denominator?
Music—we live and breathe the stuff.
You will report to the Finance Specialist, Maritt Jensen.
The Role:
As a full-time Finance Intern, you will support the Finance Department in ensuring accurate data across the organization and reconciling our books. We have recently implemented a number of new software applications and processes and you will play an important role in solving varieties and assist with other ad-hoc assignments such as invoicing, reporting, and process descriptions.
We can offer you an all-round introduction to finance, internal auditing, payroll, controlling, and professional support throughout your internship with defined learning goals.
As our ideal candidate: you are familiar with debit/credit. You think logically and have an eye for details, while not being afraid of hands-on tasks including contact with relevant stakeholders.
You will work closely with both the Finance Specialist and CFO. Ideally, you have experience from a growth company or startup and know about the dynamic every day we live and thrive in. We don’t expect you to know everything - but if the above sounds like something that you are good at and that you would be motivated by - send us your application.
Responsibilities:
Handle day to day accounting where most of it is already automized;
Contact with clients and vendors;
Assist with internal audits;
Variety of fun, but challenging ad-hoc tasks;
Reconciling accounts.
Abilities and Skills:
You’re enrolled in a relevant finance-related study program and have at least successfully concluded your first year of education;
You are available for a minimum of 35 hours a week;
Experience with Excel or Google Sheets, and preferably some experience with E-conomic;
Fluent in English, both spoken and in writing to ensure communication with local third parties and our colleagues across the world;
Excited about working in an international and diverse culture.
About Linkfire:
We’re a passionate team of music techies on a mission to make music consumption easier for fans, labels, and artists. The music industry is transforming constantly, the market is fragmented and split across many different platforms and services.
Physical sales are going down. Legal downloads and in particular streaming are gaining momentum.
The transformation will continue and the years to come will be very interesting. We want to contribute to the transformation by bringing music and fans closer. Not inside music services, but outside where fans and artists engage. Our approach is to index digital music across music services and provide smart links that route fans directly to the music regardless of their location or which player or platform they use. It’s complex.
We make it simple.
What we offer:
The opportunity to work in one of the fastest-growing music tech companies in the world;
An open, informal entrepreneurial startup working environment;
An awesome, international office with colleagues from 20+ different nationalities;
Great career possibilities:
Flexible working hours and a healthy work-life balance.
Is that you? If so, submit your application in English and we’ll be in touch!
