Do you want to make a difference in the everyday life of millions of people with ADHD and autism? Do you want to take the development of our innovative app to the next level and help shape the future of Digital Health? Then you might be the developer we’re looking for! Tiimo, recently awarded “Best Social Impact Startup” in Denmark by Nordic Startup Awards, is a growing startup with the potential to create tremendous social impact, while creating the new standard in assistive technologies.
You are a software developer who cares about your craft and knows that great software is the result of several diverse disciplines that work well together to provide value to end users.
Tiimo is a simple yet powerful solution covering a wide range of complementary technologies where you have the opportunity to put your existing skill set to good use while learning new skills in related areas. As a small team we work hard to keep things simple so we can stay agile and keep at the forefront of the rapid advances in the modern tech stack on which we’re building our service.
It can be broadly split into three categories:
A lean backend API built with .NET Core 3.0, C#, and cloud services in Microsoft Azure
Native mobile/watch apps for both iOS/watchOS and Android/WearOS built with Swift and Kotlin
Angular 8-based web app using TypeScript, the Bulma CSS framework, and Material Design components
It’s important that you have experience with at least one of these three “sub-stacks” and that you are keen on diving deep into .NET Core 3 and Azure. At Tiimo you have the freedom to specialize further in what you already know while gradually learning about the other moving parts of our setup.
Other stuff we use includes:
Gatsby/ES6/React-based website using the Bulma CSS framework
Git repos and CI/CD pipelines hosted in Azure DevOps
Knowledge of these additional things is a plus, but you’ll be able to learn as you go, and we’ll provide the resources to help you do so. We’d also love to get your input when evolving our tech stack in the future – we have a lot of exciting plans on the drawing board where you’ll be working closely together with our talented designers and the rest of the team. By the way, you’re free to use Windows, Mac, or Linux as you prefer, we won’t judge you, and neither will our platform-agnostic codebase.
You have experience with at least one of our three “sub-stacks” described above
You are eager to work in a vibrant startup environment
You know how to use product analytics tools to gain insights about user behavior
You want to put your existing skill set to good use while learning new skills in areas related to your current specialization
It’s a plus if you have experience from the startup world, but not a requirement as long as you’re up for the challenge
It’s a plus if you know about core metrics and KPI’s driving user and revenue growth in mobile and web apps
The opportunity to work on a value-adding product built on the latest tech that makes a significant impact on people’s lives
Users who love the product we’re building
Shared ownership and responsibility of the development
Involved in Tiimo’s technological journey
Working in a funded startup where every day is a new adventure
Close collaboration with the entire Tiimo team
Flexible (work) hours and vacation
A cool and friendly team who loves coming to work every day
Social arrangements and colleagues who are up for a challenge at the fussball or ping pong table
All the free coffee and tea you can drink
Free fitness every day of the week. Yoga on Thursdays
You will be a part of the startup hub and community SingularityU Denmark where you will have access to relevant events and other interesting people building impact startups.
About Tiimo
More than 280 million people worldwide are diagnosed with ADHD and autism. This can have a detrimental impact on the health and well-being of the person diagnosed and their family, as well as broader socioeconomic consequences. We want to promote positive change and social inclusion through the use of meaningful assistive technology.
Tiimo is an award-winning app, designed to guide and support the user through icons, a gamified design, a visual timeline and motivating reminders. Tiimo promotes independence and improves quality of life while reducing stress and conflict. It has a particularly strong effect on a smartwatch because it's a wearable.
Our app is already available worldwide in English on a monthly subscription of €9.99, and we have a growing international subscriber base of over 1300 users, with new subscribers coming from 49 countries. We have growing revenue, and a great team in business, design, and tech.
We have big plans for the future of Tiimo, including localization of the app to +10 languages and the integration of technology such as machine learning, self-assessment, and voice assistance in the coming years. This is your chance to be involved in developing and shaping the future of mental health.
We’re doing interviews on a running basis so send us your application now. If you have any questions about the job, you’re welcome to contact our CEO and co-founder Helene Nørlem at +45 60117621
Deadline: January 1st, 2020.
We’ve got big plans for the future of Tiimo. If you want to help us create it, we’d love to hear from you.
All the best,
Team Tiimo
