About Second Sun

We are a startup company changing how sports stadiums approach natural grass growth to a more sustainable and cost-efficient alternative using a patented new sunlight reflecting solution. We have just sat up the first reflector solution in Brøndby Stadium, which you might have seen in the media and we are now looking to expand our team with more skilful professionals ready to work in the intersection between engineering, sports and sustainability.

The team and office environment

You will be working in an international team of young, dynamic and competent professionals with various backgrounds within both consulting, entrepreneurship and classic engineering. We set high aspirations for ourselves as well as for our team and we expect you to do the same. We are located in a vibrant area and an energetic office space alongside other up and coming companies such as Reform Kitchens and Common Seating.

Your profile:

• You are an ambitious and high-achieving mechanical engineer ready for an adventure in the startup world.

• You have a can-do attitude and is eager to and capable of understanding and applying new technology.

• You want to apply your knowledge and see the impact of your actions directly and not wait 2, 3 or maybe 20 meetings before decisions are taken.

• You might have 1-5 years of experience from a classical mechanical engineering position but is now ready for new challenges and more responsibility.

• You might know what a Raspberry Pi is, you can spend hours in SolidWorks or AutoCAD, you know that Python is not only a snake and you might even have built a machine before.

Your responsibility:

• You will be heading the mechanical domain of our current solution and the continuous development of it.

• You will be optimizing the design to ensure a well-functioning supply-chain.

• You will wear a lot of different hats, as we are a small team, and support where needed.

• You will work directly with the CEO and support him in the continuous development of the company.
