We are building a really cool pricing software, combining rule-based pricing with AI, and now we are seeking a Backend Developer / Data Engineer to support our software development and customer deployments for our data driven products. At Price Edge you would have an exciting and unbounded role, which includes working and learning at the same time.

What we offer and who we are looking for

In this role you will be a part of the team that manage our Collect and Optimize products. This means working closely with our Head of Data Science to create and maintain solutions for crunching large amounts of data that are used both for our AI / ML solutions and by the rule-based pricing engine. You will have to think both big, in terms of overall architecture, and small, in terms of low-level optimisations, to deliver solutions that are reusable, and match the performance required by our customers.

We are primarily looking for candiates that can work from Stockholm, Lisbon or Bucharest but are also open for a remote setup if the candidate is the right one.

Skills & Requirements

To be successful as an engineer at Price Edge you need the following traits:

• You are pragmatic and easy going, with a minimum viable product mindset and is comfortable with constant iterations

• You are able to work independently. We will give you a lot of freedom to plan your own day, and you need to be able to work efficiently without too much guidance

• Solid technical background, with understanding or hands-on experience in SaaS software development and maintenance

• Since you will be working with international customers and colleagues, your English language skills are of high importance

• You have a great understanding of the fundamental design principles behind a scalable application

• Experience with dynamic code bases, high-performance SQL programming, data pipelines and ETL – tools

• Significant experience with Python

• Experience with the AWS platform

• Familiarity with shared memory data structures and parallel algorithms
