Student position, testing lifespan-altering compounds on Drosophila melanogaster and cell lines

Salary Competitive

Tracked.bio, is a biotechnology company that develops fully automated phenotyping and identification systems for model organisms. We utilize custom made designs that combine deep learning with computer vision to gather millions of data points every hour, every day for the entire lifespan of an organism. The tracked.bio platform addresses the critical need for methodologies able to reduce cost and effectively evaluate the efficacy of aging intervention

Seeking (primarily masters) students interested in testing lifespan-altering compounds on Drosophila melanogaster and cell lines. The Scheibye-Knudsen group has developed a high-throughput pipeline for screening compounds in the short-lived (60-day lifespan) fruit fly. This pipeline is a part of an emerging company from the lab: tracked.bio. The lab itself studies a variety of model types from cells, mice, fruit flies and computational platforms. From successful drug candidates in our fruit fly system, the student can also perform mechanistic studies in cell culture.

Please apply via The Hub. In case you have questions, please contact Morten Scheibye-Knudsen (mscheibye@sund.ku.dk) and Michael Petr (mapetr@sund.ku.dk) if interested.
