Walk With Path (WWP) is an award winning startup based in Copenhagen with a mission to improve mobility and reduce the risk of falls for elderly and people with chronic disease. With one medical device on the market in Europe and another in research and development we are a fast-moving company.

Due to the nature of being in a startup, we are looking for a highly motivated candidate with broad skills and interests, who are able to juggle several tasks simultaneously.

The main task will be the complete development of the backend infrastructure responsible in collecting, storing and processing datasets coming from our smartphone app connected to our futur product Path Feel. This product is a Bluetooth Low Energy connected insole that provides vibrational feedback to the soles of people at risk of falls, such as those with peripheral neuropathy, who are unable to feel the ground properly due to a sensory deficit, or those with general balance issues. By amplifying the sense of touch of the feet to the ground, users are able to identify accurately when their feet touch the ground, thereby reducing the sense of imbalance as well as incidence of falls. Path Feel incorporate and IMU unit and a pressure sensor array.

Key responsibilities and required skills:

• Expert in backend infrastructure and databases (AWS or Microsoft Azure)

• Experience with frontend is a plus

• Frameworks: React, React Native, Node.js, Electron JS, jQuery, Laravel, Ruby on Rails...

• Others: Test Driven Development (TDD), Responsive Design, Machine Learning, PKI/Secure Communication, Cloud Computing, Git...

• Experience with native app developement for iOs (swift/objective C) and Android (java) is a plus

• Experience with Bluetooth Low Energy is a plus

• Embedded firmware: C / C++ is a plus

• Knowledge in embedded electronic is a plus

• Experience working within a Quality Management System is a plus

• Experience with Medical Devices is a plus
