Responsibilities:

  • Test mobile and web software applications.
  • Create detailed, comprehensive and well-structured test plans and test cases.
  • Estimate, prioritize, plan and execute testing activities.
  • Identify, record, document thoroughly and track bugs.
  • Perform thorough regression testing when bugs are resolved.
  • Drive adoption of best practices in testing, and maintainability.
  • Lead and own quality strategy of the assigned task/work to ensure the right level of product quality.
  • Work with cross-functional teams to ensure quality throughout the software development lifecycle.
  • Being the go-to person for any questions regarding the current state of the product.
  • Participate in sprint planning meetings and make sure the right issues are prioritized.
  • Chip into any other area that needs extra testing when needed, including web/mobile apps.

 

Requirements:

  • Knowledge in software development.
  • Willingness to learn.
  • An ability to perform in a fast-paced environment.
  • Good communication skills.
  • Analytical thinking and attention to detail.
  • Ability to identify and record a problem and to try to work out what is causing it.
  • Fluent in English (written and speaking).


Nice to know:

  • BS/MS degree in Computer Science, Engineering or a related subject.
  • Knowledge/experience in software quality assurance is a plus.
  • Working knowledge of Agile frameworks, Android and iOS mobile app testing and regression testing is a plus.
  • Experience with transitioning an organization from manual testing to automated testing is a plus.
