We are developing a change-making social app with new social paradigms that will create movements and mass adoption of the UN. We have an open role at our company for an incredible CTO with full-stack capabilities to join our leadership team, become a business leader and drive the development of our IMPACTR platform.

This key role in our startup will lead and project manage the development of our platform and infrastructure, operating as the Lead Developer/Engineer, working with our development team and where relevant having external technical dialogue and managing 3rd party freelancers/vendors, as well as drive the technical direction with the support of the CXO and other senior developers.

We are already working on our MVP (for launch in October) with some very experienced developers and a have a Front-end/UX team lead by an extremely experienced CXO who has worked with both UX and production who will be your strong partner in delivering our product.

Going forward you will continuously scope and recruit the development resources needed to build the platform and with this we expect a strict and strong focus on tight cost management and control.

Our MVP has basic functionalities like in a typical social app and a marketplace, and for the MVP build, the key skills/experienced needed are flexible based on a technical strategy we expect you to lead that fits together with our current group of developers skill sets.  You will ideally have a strong understanding of React & React Native (but we are open on this), as well as for example AWS, Node Js, MongoDB, Docker.

In addition, the CTO will:

• Have a strong understanding of JavaScript for iOS and Android development as they will help create the foundation for this app.
• Be curious, research and utilise the latest capabilities available to create a social network app.
• Have a solid understanding of APIs and give direction as to which APIs to use.
• Guide on which engine cloud hosting we should use such as AWS, Firebase, DigitalOcean.
• Guide version control of the app, our code base and so forth, i.e. structuring the development workflow using Git.
• Manage testing.
• Security is a top priority, including help to build a rock solid authentication using JWT.

This person with push hard to build the foundation for an MVP product and further platform development by establishing sharp strategic planning in a time-crunched environment.   We are already moving forward with the back-end and iOS development.

The CTO will contribute actively with open-minded ideas and will continuously find the optimal tools for building efficiently and with integrity and scalability. This person leaves the ego at the door and establishes great relationships that grow the company as well as their colleagues.
