Launching in October 2019, Impactr is set to be an innovative new digital platform connecting the entire sustainability ecosystem to become the world’s first social media marketplace for sustainability. We’re looking for a PR and Communications Manager for Marketing team, who wants to help us build and expand the way our brand is perceived around the world, starting with Denmark and the broader Nordic region, before expanding to key global markets.

We are currently seeking funding, and working towards a soft-launch at Copenhagen Fin Tech week in mid-June. Our main goal for PR in this phase is to build awareness, understanding and deeper appreciation of Impactr’s vision and team to help attract the right investors, strategic partners, and expert sustainability community.
You will be part of the Marketing team, based in London or Copenhagen, but your role will have an international focus. You are the perfect candidate, if you have impeccable native English and Danish skills, you understand how to position a company as a thought leader and you are able to drive brand awareness through compelling content and activations. Additionally, you know how to embody the voice of the brand and take it to the next level.
Key Responsibilities
- Define and execute our PR communications strategy globally, focusing first on Denmark and the Nordics, before expanding to the UK, and key global markets.
- Have a creative and innovative approach to activating stories in on & offline environments, including media, influencer and trade events & launches.
- Have solid relationships with business, news, technology, and consumer lifestyle media. And build and maintain strong relationships with relevant media, journalists, influencers, government bodies, and key strategic partners to create new editorial opportunities for brand awareness.
- Experience building profiles on behalf of company spokespeople, and acting as a key spokesperson yourself.
- Continuously create content for press releases, thought leadership white papers and execute their sell-in to Tier 1 target media.
- Answer media inquiries, work with company spokespeople on media messaging, prepare media kits
- Create engaging copy and content for PR, branding and social media initiatives
- Monitor, analyze and communicate PR performance and results
- Evaluate and manage opportunities for partnerships, sponsorships, and advertising on an ongoing basis
- In collaboration with the CMO, act as a central owner of the brand Tone and Voice guidelines and be the ambassador for the rest of the company, while managing the content calendar.
- Develop an internal communications strategy in collaboration with the CMO and marketing team.
- Maintain a calendar or relevant brand awareness events, award and funding opportunities and help manage Impactr’s entry to them.
Desired Skills/Experience:
- At least 5+ years experience running national Denmark PR campaigns and communication projects, and experience with key international business media also.
- Fluent in English and Danish, with a relevant degree in Marketing, PR or Linguistics
- Prior experience in a PR agency or an in-house PR team preferred, experience with both digital and traditional PR required, strong established relationships with journalists and influencers desirable
- Track record of placing stories in Tier 1 publication and demonstrable impact in brand awareness development
- Experience launching a new brand to market preferable
- Exceptionally sharp writing and editing skills
- Highly organized and motivated
- Great understanding of the media landscape and the ability to craft engaging stories for business and consumer audiences.
- Strong strategic, analytical and technical skills and the ability to work with platforms such as Google Analytics, Hubspot, PR Newswire
- Keen interest and passion for sustainability and an optimistic, solution-focused approach to fixing the future.
- Ability to translate scientific data into relatable and consumable data-led content is preferred.
- Strong interpersonal and stakeholder management skills, ability to develop relationships quickly and effectively across all levels
- Keen understanding of branding and brand development.
