Are you a Senior Embedded Developer who enjoys solving the insolvable? Do you thrive working with other engineers with a dry sense of humour? Are you eager to tackle new tasks and confident in developing simple, elegant, tested and maintainable solutions?
As Senior Developer Embedded Software you will, together with the team, bring our solutions to a new level. Embedded software is at the heart of our solutions, and we need to stay at the forefront of it by creating the very best, low power and robust embedded sensor solutions. Part of the role involves evaluation of sensors, interfacing with sensor vendors and specifying communication protocols. Additionally, you will maintain the software libraries for our sensors as well as own part of the system architecture.
Other tasks include: Help set the HW for next generation platform and help define our wireless sensor network. Perhaps you also have an additional area of competence… Most likely you do, so why not do some of that too?!
A few technologies we currently use: Code composer studio, C & Python, Arm Cortex-M processors, FreeRTOS, STM32, mbedTLS, LWIP, Docker, BLE Communications and Proprietary Sub1 GHz radio protocol.
Why do we think this opportunity is the most exciting embedded SW position out there?
We work in a modern and independent manner and as the team evolves, we aim to create new processes and use the newest technology. Additionally, you will get exposure to the cloud and work towards our target of automating most of our tedious tasks.
Airthings is a fun-filled place to work with significant focus on the social aspects. We believe that our staff are the key to a successful future thus we invest heavily in making sure everyone can contribute and people enjoy themselves. We believe we offer you the chance to work for a company that is going places and who not only wants to grow but to grow ‘huge’.
Other positives:
Who are we looking for?
It is important that you are fluent in C and have some familiarity with Python scripting. You have a good understanding of software architecture and experience with embedded peripherals: I2C, SPI and similar. Other than that, it would also be good if you have experience from communication protocols (Ethernet or similar) and 5 years + of relevant domain experience. It would be a huge benefit if you have experience with wireless communication and protocol stacks, although this is not essential.
As a person, you love solving complex challenges, enjoy working with other highly competent developers and you are eager to tackle new tasks and confident in developing simple, elegant, tested and maintainable solutions.
