BluSense Diagnostics is a young and dynamic MedTech company, spin-off in 2015 from the Department of Micro- and Nanotechnology, Technical University of Denmark. If yes, you might be the Technical Sales & Business Development Manager BluSense Diagnostics is looking for!
The job
You will take a leading role in the sales and business development department for the Asian markets to support the management strategies towards operations expansions in Asia. You will work both independently and alongside regional advisors and partners in order to fully penetrate the territory and drive sales revenue.
You will proactively build a reliable and value-adding network and as key reference person for our Southeast Asian markets managing our stakeholders being customers, distributors, regional advisors and business partners in order to build and grow the business in Asia for our products, as well as bridging the sales force with our technical teams in Denmark and Taiwan.
In order to succeed in the job, you will manage to handle a wide span of responsibilities, e.g. from the overhauling of clinical trials in the region to the monitoring of distributors target performances. You will have to maintain strong collaboration with the RA, R&D, production teams both in Denmark and Taiwan as well as you yourself will be representing one or multiple products directly on the market.
You will report directly to BluSense’s CEO and work alongside other members of the sales and business development departments.
Your key responsibilities
- Facilitating communication between the customer, the regional sales team, and the business segment and ensure forecasting territory analysis
- Using strong technical knowledge to position the technical benefits of our solution to meet our customer’s needs and beat the competition
- Provide training to customers and other responsible sales representatives
- Monitor current and potential activities in the territory on items such as competitor products and user requirements
- Product portfolio management by interacting with the different company teams
- A detailed overview of all product features
- Continuous monitoring of customer input and its qualification (complaints, requests)
- Work closely with other sales specialists and members of marketing and support teams
- Work with the regional distributors, including regular technical and feasibility meetings. Identify high potential opportunities in order to assist the distributors' sales team in the development and penetration of existing and new markets.
- Provide feedback to the business segment on product performance in the field and suggested solutions and customer support regarding product performance problems
- Understand and leverage market drivers around reimbursement and revenue opportunities
Qualifications
- Strong technical background in science, engineering, ideally microfluidics, in vitro diagnostics, and medical devices
- Professional experience in development and/or manufacturing of medical equipment/diagnostic equipment and a good understanding of the point-of-care diagnostic market requirements
- International experience and track record in technical sales and business development
- Knowledge or pre-existing experience in dengue fever and South East Asian IVD distribution is considered a plus.
- Ideally knowledge of ISO13485 and/or GMP manufacturing standards of quality

- Fluency in English, both verbally and in writing
- Highly motivated by working in a fast-paced start-up environment
- Ability to work well alone but also as part of a team
- Outgoing, proactive personality with a strong “can-do” attitude
- Ability to manage projects and adhere to timelines
- Willing to travel and you are open to possibilities of partial relocation periods
