Lead Developer (CTO track) with Full-Stack Capabilities

We are looking for a React Lead Developer with full-stack capabilities, who is driven to make a massive positive impact on the world!

This key role in our startup is to drive the development of our platform, including operating as the Lead Engineer having technical dialogue and managing 3rd party vendors, as well as drive the technical direction with the support of the CXO.

This person will have a strong understanding of:

• React Native
• Nose Js
• MongoDB
• Docker

In addition, the Lead Developer will:

• Have a strong understanding of JavaScript for iOS and Android development as they will help create the foundation for this app.
• Be curious, research and utilise the latest capabilities available to create a social network app.
• Have a solid understanding of APIs and give direction as to which APIs to use.
• Guide on which engine cloud hosting we should use such as AWS, Firebase, DigitalOcean.
• Guide version control of the app, our code base and so forth, i.e. structuring the development workflow using Git.
• Security is a top priority, including help to build a rock solid authentication using JWT.

This person with push hard to build the foundation for an MVP product and further platform development by establishing sharp strategic planning in a time-crunched environment.

The Lead Developer will contribute actively with open-minded ideas and will continuously find the optimal tools for building efficiently and with integrity and scalability. This person leave the ego at the door and establish great relationships that grow the company as well as their colleagues.   

Career Growth Opportunity - CTO Track

For the right person we expect this role could develop into a CTO role in 9-18 months where the CTO will lead the technical values for recruitment, mentoring and coaching of talent for further engineering growth, establish new ventures with possible partnerships and build up data and analytics management. The CTO will closely voice the technical identity of the company in the marketplace and at tech-conferences, and promote the company's story of sustainability, impact-tech innovation and creativity along with the CEO, CMO, and CXO.
