We are offering a position to an ambitious candidate who is seeking to become part of a pioneer project that will raise the bar for future media technologies. You will have the chance to become Technical Project Management Trainee and you will work closely together with an award winning SME and with leading tech experts from Deutsche Telekom.

ABOUT THE JOB

We are looking for a technically savvy  graduate with a background in cloud and telecommunications to lead a our 5G program as a Technical Project Manager.

You will establish the foundation of bringing a 360° multi-camera broadcasting solution to a 5G network by researching into operation modes of an application within a 5G network, and developing a software prototype in cooperation with sub-contractors and technology partners, using edge cloud computing. The project follows two main goals:

a) Integration of tiled-based streaming with an SDK in order to optimize data download

b) Integration of automated and targeted advertisements with an SDK in order to personalize streaming experiences

Integral part of the program is porting the application from Microsoft Azure’s 4G networks to Telekom’s 5G networks in collaboration with their engineers and conducting performance benchmarks, and to report and document your findings.

The position is embedded into the discourse of Hubraum’s 5G and low latency prototyping incubation program. The work will be part-time with 3 (flexible) working days per week and can be either conducted from our office in Copenhagen, Denmark or remotely.

Occasional travels to Berlin and Bonn are expected. The travels and accommodation cost will be fully paid, along with a daily travel budget for food.

The program starts immediately and will end in August 2019 after a demo at a conference, showcasing the finally achieved results, and completing reporting.

This position has a possibility to convert into a full-time position.

ABOUT YOU

• You are a cloud developer with and education in Computer Science, Telecommunications, or relevant degree at BSc or MSc level.

• Preferably you bring some knowledge and experience in building scalable live / on demand high resolution (up to 8K) multi-camera video streaming and processing solutions via cloud

PREFERABLE STACK

• Microsoft Azure (Including management API), Kubernetes (including The Kubernetes API), Docker (Including Docker engine API), C#, Asp.Net & Asp.Net Core, C++

• Knowledge of various video formats, streaming protocols (including multi-protocol streaming).

• Some experience with RESTful APIs, web frontend (Angular, javascript, HTML5)

• Agile - Continuous integration-  test driven,  development

• Some knowledge of video processing principles

• Motivated and eager to learn new things

• Enthusiastic to map applications on 5G and Edge cloud computing and engage in Benchmarking

• Some project management experience is a plus
