We are seeking a solid candidate to 3D model the camera rig which hosts electronics of our 360 camera.  

Job Detail

The CAD Designer will work directly with engineers, business team and sub-contractors to first model and then get the camera rig built via our chosen supplier. The design will be in two/three dimensional models and drawings using Solidworks software. The candidate will also lead the 3D printing of the rig and sourcing of packaging/casing  to house the camera and spare parts - with chosen suppliers. The candidate has the unique opportunity to work on a end to end project from design , development, camera assembly, packaging and dispatch. 

Requirements

• Degree in Mechanical Engineer or equivalent.
• 2-3 years experience with Solidworks software.
• Strong detail-oriented skills and organizational skills required.
• Strong CAD application skills necessary.
• Good personal communication skills required.

Responsibilities

• Create new and upgrade existing designs for a casing for 360° camera.
• Implement design concepts from engineers and office personnel from existing documents and other data into CAD drawings.
• Organize all drawings and applicable camera documents
• 3D solid modelling with Solidworks.
• Working with fabrication departments before and during assembly phase of projects.
• Schedule and meet project deadlines.
• Support in Camera assembly.
