Adhesives play a more integral part of our society than ever before and are found in almost all parts of the modern technology we surround ourselves with. With a long history of development, this growing 40 billion dollar industry is made up by thousands of brands and specialized products for almost any type of application or product. However, the industry still applies century-old fundamental thinking on adhesives, both in the manufacturing and use, still relying on unsustainable, toxic and environmentally harmful ingredients.

RadiSurf, an Aarhus University spin-off founded in 2015, aims to solve these challenges with its breakthrough nanoprimer technology. Nanoprimers are a glue-free, high potential alternative to bonding of challenging material combinations.

Key responsibilities – Deliveries

• Map out key players in the dental market – types of suppliers and customers for materials in the dental market. 
• Identify and describe current solutions and needs for bonding between materials in the dental market.
• Identify competing solutions for bonding and key entry barriers for new bonding solutions
• Identify key players for entry into the market
• Identify geographical differences in the global market
• Identify and describe any major trade events in the industry

To succeed in this position, you will need …

• Commercial background: A highly skilled student at 2nd half of bachelor level, currently studying a master level, or recent graduate. Possibly within marketing, International business, Entrepreneurship, or similar
• Interest and strong skills for conducting market research / analyzing a market
• A commercially oriented mindset with the ability to quickly understand problems, analyze the situation and present your solutions or results in an appealing and powerful manner
• Strong English skills, spoken and written. Danish not necessary
• Plus, but not a necessity: Experience from or understanding of Medical Industry or the Dental Industry

Personal skills

• As a person you can work independently and are highly structured and well-organized.
• You have an ability to identify and evaluate sales/marketing opportunities and partnerships in a strategic perspective.
• You are comfortable and possibly experienced with cold-calling externals if necessary.
• You are naturally curious and have a positive, innovative can-do attitude as part of the DNA

Employment and Location

It is an unpaid internship of maximum 3 months lengths (details can be discussed), with start from December/January 2019 or as soon as possible thereafter. The research can be conducted from home. Weekly staff-meetings will take place at our office in Aarhus, but remote participation is possible.

Work hours: Expect 10-15 hours/week on average, but the hours are flexible as long as the project deliveries are timely.
