Volt is operating on music festivals throughout Europe, mainly known from servicing the city of Roskilde Festival with portable energy. Volt has brought new digital solutions to the event scene and is now energetically working on bringing these to other markets. With +30k customers at Roskilde and +20 other events in the festival season, we need tight operation management.


 

The position 

As an Operations Manager in Volt, you will be responsible for the practical setup of Volt’s activities on up to 25 international music festivals. Volt’s operation management includes planning the setup of 30 service points, organising more than 600 people at Roskilde Festival, setting up event budgets and planning logistics to European festivals.

In the period leading up to the festival season, you will manage a production team handling the physical equipment, as well as manage Volt's developer in tweaking Volt's digital CRM and Cloakroom apps to fit event. In the off-season, you will play an active role in the event selection process being the main responsible for event budgeting. Smaller event operations will be managed in the off-season as well as optimizing procedures for the following season and engage in development projects for services and products to the event industry.

The operations manager will thus be working closely with the HR manager (event staff recruitment), the Marketing Manager and the Account Executive to execute the events.

Responsibilities 

  • Detailed event planning through Gantt Charts and Task management systems
  • Detailed event budgeting and cost controlling, including meticulous follow up post event
  • Exact communication/coordination with festival production departments
  • Engaging in creation and overseeing fulfilment event contracts
  • Management of production and storage crew
  • Seek out equipment and logistic suppliers and negotiate deals
  • Create and ensure procedures the planning and execution of events
  • Onsite event responsible of Volt stalls and equipment logistics on big events
  • Preparing/adjusting Volt digital CRM or cloakroom apps together IT-department to fit events.

Additional tasks in the less intensive off-season:

  • Attending relevant industry festivals and conferences in order to build on our network in the industry.
  • Assist business development - developing Volt’s digital services into new event arenas

Practicalities

  • You will be working from Volt HQ in Nørrebro, Copenhagen
  • The festival season (Summer) is busy and will require much of your attention
  • Your salary will be negotiated depending on your experience
