We are now looking for a Head of Sourcing to join our team either in Stockholm or Helsinki. Swappie is growing and expanding rapidly and we are searching for someone that would like to grow together with us. You will have the overall responsibility to lead and develop Swappie’s sourcing and supply strategies. This includes setting quality standards, quality assurance, sourcing operations, terms of delivery, negotiations of purchase prices and service level agreements, in line with the company’s long-term strategies for the business growth including profitability metrics. You will also lead initiatives to build partnerships that develop and strengthen our overall cash flow and financials.

You will be responsible for our sourcing and taking it from a small team to a world class operation. You make sure that Swappie has enough of the right stock to supply our growing demand, meaning that you will not only handle our current suppliers, but especially build new beneficial relationships. While allowing us to move up the value chain, you identify the capabilities we need to execute on these partnerships efficiently.

You have the ability to handle multiple tasks in a fast-paced changing environment and to build strong relationships within and outside the organization. Excellent communication skills are your core capability. You love to build structure where there is none and you are not afraid of finding your own solution that solves your task.

What you will work on

• Lead search and selection process for sourcing partners and build and nurture long-term profitable and well-functioning relationships with competent and financially healthy suppliers.
• Continuously analyse, evaluate and improve Swappie’s sourcing base and different regions / countries to develop Swappie’s sourcing strategy to achieve long-term optimal profitability.
• Develop consistent and mutually profitable forms of cooperation with all suppliers, who, through robust internal processes / routines and shared tools, provide Swappie with maximum transparency, control and knowledge of cost-building for each product.
• Overall responsibility for price negotiations and ensure that proper and secure internal communication is conducted with stakeholders.
• Ensure continuity of supply avoiding and resolving any technical issues as they may arise.
• Ensure that the Warehouse and Repair operations receives accurate information about lead times and production minimum for efficient and accurate production planning.
• Ensure processes are executed that ensure quality throughout the total supply chain, managing inspection services at source.

Who you are and what is expected of you

• 5 years of experience in buying and/or selling between companies, preferably in technical industry
• Minimum of 3 years’ proven leadership and coaching skills.
• Extensive knowledge and understanding of the related supply and corporate sales landscape.
• Experience from working in a global setting with strong internal and external stakeholders.
• Strong drive and results orientation with a hands on approach. Have a strong ability to shift between strategic and executional areas of work.
• Good communication skills and well developed English, both written and spoken. Finnish is a plus.
• Strategic mindset and ability to deal with ambiguous or complicated situations.
• Well-developed analytical and administrative skills – organized and efficient.
• Are a strong leader with the ability to lead and inspire employees, delegate tasks and develop team members working with feedback and coaching
• Down to earth personality with an prestigeless approach to work.
